Been building cubes for almost 20 years. My teacher taught me how to when he saw that I brought one to school. About 3 years ago I saw him again and he was really struggling with life... I gave him my favorite cube as a token of appreciation because he was so patient with me back then, his eyes filled with tears. He died last year and I'm just happy that I gave him my cube to show that he made a difference in my life.
"The average person takes 3 hours to solve their first Rubik's cube". Huh. That's pretty insane. But do they start counting from conception or from birth?
There's a competitor limit, but your average competition will undoubtedly fill up a lot faster. I'm guessing that people will start creating bots to register as soon as a competition is published some time into the future.
Just freaking watched it with my family and everyone loved it, they are not even in to cubing but we all loved it so so much! Closest to crying I’ve been in a while... ❤️
Wow, it's a dream come true to watch two of my speedcubing idols in one documentary. We won't forget your contribution to the speedcubing community🙂🙂👍👍
I haven't ever subscribed to one of these cubing channels. However, this one has earned said subscription. It's amazing how this sport works and the dexterity and intelligence required for it. Being a gamer, I agree that this is a sport - really anything that has a champion and people striving to be the champion should be considered "sport."
so proud of your work man used to look upto you in my 7th grade probably 6 years back and im amazed to look at what all have you achieved especialy this netflix documentary proud of you man u taught me how to cube
I understand commutators, but how can I understand how break and repair f2l technique works? It seems it has not a constant idea like comms [A,B]. How can I know the right way to remove a pair or pairs and the right way to restore it/them, that means, doing it intuitively? Thx.
I'm so insanely proud of my cousin Max! Watching him solve cubes is mesmerizing. Fingers flailing every which direction and blurred streaks of color is all you see. The kid is amazing.
@Ahmed Siddiqua I know, I was saying he made a Netflix documentary, I know he also made the why we cube documentary, and if you don’t want to believe me so what, all I know is that he is my cousin, plus he also held the 2x2 cubing world record 2 times, plus I went to his wedding which was last September
I'm a magician whose getting into cubing to do some cube magic. Got a three hour training video from Steven Brundage to go off of. Really interested in seeing this documentary
Lemme tell you a story. When this trailer came out, I thought cubing was easy lol. So I asked my parents to get me one. It took me WAAAAY more than 3 hours to solve but when I did. I was so proud. So I scrambled it and solved it again and again. Pretty soon I became sub 2 minutes and I discovered F2L so I practiced again and again. All day, every day, at school, at home. Everywhere. My parents got pretty annoyed at my cubing but I did not give one. I was busy working towards sub 1 minute. Now, nearly a year later I average around 47 seconds. And let's just say, cubing made me realise something. Human interaction is unnecessary when you have a cube that turns
I used to be so impressed if a person could solve a cube AT ALL! Then I learned about the algorithms. And within a few hours, I was solving in under a minute. The problem with learning anything so fast is, I have no idea what I'm good at.
i have a cube right next to me and i stumbled upon this. that three hour thing is total bs, i havent solved mine since 7th grade. im in ninth now. i think im mega dumb

The trailer looks awesome! I‘ve not been this excited about a new Netflix release since forever.
Wanna bet next WCA world championships there’s gonna be 3 times as many people there
@SuperDuperCuber yeye
I doubt it due to competition competitor limits.

Your why we cube documentary should also be on Netflix. Our community needs to be more recognised
I've never been a man of the 'Flix, but this might just change my mind, for once.

The shot at 1:50 is so iconic
This doesn’t really prove they are smart, it just proves they have skill
Did it say anything about them being smart? The goal of this is to get people hyped about cubing, not to prove they are smart.
Sure. Relative to how you proved you're stupid for leaving such an annoying, pointless, "sky is blue" comment.
