      It's pointless to make predictions these days. Unless the ranking at worlds becomes average of all solves in the 4 rounds. Screw up one solve and you're pretty much done in the final

    I will still vehemently defend the notion that Feliks and Max are the two best cubers in the world.

      Everyone's time is pretty long. Feliks was 6.15 in the warm up, max was 6.393

      They are very prominent, and well known.. there are other great cubers, but lets say, whne you are new to cubing two people you will get to know are them.

      I agree. That being said, I also think the top cubers are so close that a lot of them have potential to win individual competitions like this, and a single average of 5 doesn't do a good enough job anymore establishing the best of the best. That being said, I think larger averages would take too long for competitions. It's a strange predicament.

      Its easy, and you (probably cfop user) know the algorithms for 2 look cmll and the rest you can learn quickly.

    Two Roux Solvers opposite each other. One gets the best single in the finals and one gets an average that earns him a tight second place. If I were a Roux Solver I'd still have nothing to do with it. :D Jokes aside. Phenomenal achievement. What better advertisement for the method than that?

    shattered that feliks didn't win in his hometown. i know he would have desperately wanted to in front of friends and family. i hope this spurs him on to get faster and do better and im sure it will.

    GALERA ALGUÉM PODE ME DAR ALGUMA DICA? Eu comecei a resolver o cubo mágico recentemente, tive o meu menor tempo de 1:26 resolvendo pelo método de camadas, eu sei o F2L intuitivo mas na hora de resolver não consigo parar e pensar ou as vezes eu demoro muito só no F2L, sei algumas OLL's e PLL's mas quase NUNCA cai as que eu sei. Vocês tem alguma dica para me dar? Como eu posso melhorar meu tempo, ou como eu posso aprender melhor o método CFOG... Obg desde já.

    Can someone explain the crowd reaction on the last solve 18:34?

      I might be wrong but I believe that was the last solve of the competition, so after that everyone would know who won and who didn't. With very tight times, it was very possible for Max to win it all. I think it was a mix of "I can't believe Max didn't podium" and "Yay I'm happy for whatever other guy i was cheering for who won".

    35.83/5 = 7.16667
    Or might be im wrong, can someone explain it?

      In WCA comps the best and worst times are removed when calculating the “average of 5”. So it’s really the average of the middle three: (7.26+6.24+6.73)/3 = 6.74
