I love Skylines but yeah the S2000 is an awesome car. Balanced, light and a screamer of an engine. Great driving pleasure both on track and the streets. Honda needs to revive this one, one more time with no turbos and/or hybrid systems.
I went to the Honda dealership to testdrive;b__ a manual S2000 back when they came out. Sitting in it, it felt like it had LESS room than a 90s Mazda Miata. Made me sad because they were one of the best-looking cars of that eraI
@Torsion oh I don't doubt you. I'm nowhere near your height but on the heavy side and about a half foot shorter and I had a hard time doing it in a C4. Those s2000s were and still are lookers.
@@1Guason3 I also drove a few twin turbo 300zx cars. I liked them, but cracked my hand on the center console every time I hit 3rd gear. The engine swap required a new subframe ... so now the car has been in storage long enough to be a "cool barnfind" and worth more than I paid for it! I was going to say that. As much as mustangs have a bad rep, it would have been very interesting how Tran would’ve had his mustang in terms of styling and skill. That way it would be 2 cars in need for speed that would’ve been heavily inspired by 2 iconic cars such as the M3 GTR being the German son of the silver skyline and Tran’s mustang being the heavy inspiration for Razor’s mustang.
Personal opinion, SN95 Cobra R actually can be pretty cool Villain car, too bad the Terminator haven't out yet, that would've been better... On second thoughts they could use the 2000 SVT Cobra R that would've been cool too... I know it's about import tuner culture in the U.S, but adding a little modern domestic muscle to the mix wouldn't hurt that much, right?
@@gmain1977 well, they could just use a V6 and just throw Cobra R style body parts and no one would notice, of course they still need an authentic Cobra R for the Hero-1 car for the close up shots and engine sound recording, but I have to say Trans am is not a bad idea either...
I like your thinking. The S2000 just doesn't instill fear. A Cobra R, on the other hand, looked like it meant absolute business and was going to trounce anyone getting in the way. It would have been a seriously cool villain car. That said, you don't see many Asians driving muscle/pony cars, so an import seems more authentic to the character. Of all the Japanese cars, though, I think the Mitsubishi GTO/3000GT would have been a more menacing fit. Those were cool cars.
