As a young window cleaner I've worked 8 years 4 summers in highschool and 4 years full time hourly for a company and this coming year I'm going out on my own. This was the perfect video for planning out my tools and equipment by keeping it simple based on wants VS needs. You said exactly what I needed to hear probably kept me from buying a ton of tools I dont entirely need right away. Thank you for the insight it was perfect timing.

Totally awesome. I started with only a very few simple tools, and spent years offering other services that I didn’t necessarily have the best tools for. I would make do with what I had at the time! Thanks for giving me a mention!😃👍🏼

Honestly I see most people buying new stuff all the time tools that really don't work for 5 years I had my business I have only what I need I have wfp and a DI tank I make really good money!! Stevo what I like about is that you never try to sell anything like other window cleaners oh buy this oh buy that, thanks👍👍

Good reasoning Steve. Keep doing what you’re doing. You give us good equipment reviews and at the same time help people to keep it real. Thanks

Steve Great Video! I began my business 10 years ago with the basic tools of $120.00 as I completed jobs and received payment. I slowly added to my toolbox and then added a helper purchasing more tools, etc.
We have always stuck to quality commercial equipment and purchase our rubber in bulk, from day one!

Great video. Great words of wisdom. If anything, when you’re starting off it’s best to invest in marketing.

I started with a £50 Trad starter kit and a WF backpack with a 22ft pole, my dads ladder, i got a printed tshirt and 250 flyers. less than £400 in total. Then fortunately i got a pure water pump 5 mins from my house. 2p a litre

Great perspective & I couldn't agree more. My problem is I LOVE new tools, but I've definitely saved a ton of money steering clear of certain tools because of watching your tool reviews🤣 thx

Out source eh , well I kinda started a biz and now I'm overwhelmed with new custies so I don't want to tell them I can't do it but I want to steer them in the right way by referring them to someone I trust will do them well... also I just got my 1st dealership.

I personally prefer traditional mop and squeegee cleaning for everything I do. I use an Unger super pole for anything that my 3 section can't reach and so long as I just take my time and am not sloppy, I leave no mistakes at all. I prefer to keep things simple and minimal ✌

PLEASE try to make a STEVEO wfp kit on wcr! try to base the entire kit around $1k or less if possible. 1 large resin tank, strong connectors, 20ft pole and good brush.
I have been looking into the larger unger tank setup

It is a great honest video IMo.... The thing about the gutters is so true... quicker and better result when done with the hands really . up close and dirty.. or better cleaning most gutters when it is dry weather.. Good micro fibers and round bucket cleaning solution of choice. 1 x 35 cm squeegee of choice 1 Washer x 35 cm of choice and defo a step ladder and some pointer / v top ladders ia all you need for many Jobs .. Simple = less stress and quicker work and much less contemplation.

With squeegees it's more economical to use a 18", 12", 6" channel. Then a pack of 36" is cut down with little waste, a 12 pack costs less.

Starting with low cost tools, then upgrade to better tools. Make a good belt though, being somewhat modular is best, pockets, loops, and hooks. A paint can hook can be placed where needed also removed easy.

No matter what I get into, I always buy the best product right off the bat. No sense, for me, to buy something that's gonna need to be upgraded soon. I do agree that you need to start off learning traditional methods first before WFP. Nice video Steve.

I was getting a waterfed set up "entry level" from WCR and they said I should go to the 2 or 3 stage because i would change resin way to often. I have one job right now that needs (well would be much easier) a waterfed pole. What is your opinion?

Richard Lecesse Jr it does depend on where you live as far as if you need an RO system or not...if your area has high TDS that you may need it. Is it a high commercial building?
