Tim, My soft wash gun just broke and I have a bunch of jobs. I remembered this video from like a year ago. Went back and watched it and built my own. Thanks man. Chris
Inspired!!!!! Thank you for the vision and creativity. I went from building a wand, to a complete system. It all started from this video, you're the real MVP!!!!!! Thanks again!!!!!!!!
Great video, nice build, the only thing I might do different is to use all stainless steel fittings, no brass, use 45’ elbow and maybe think about a short riser behind ball valve as well to give more of a grip instead of right on top of ball valve. 👌
Fyi - Lowes has a lot of misc. Sch 80 fittings, but Not in the plumbing department. I recently stumbled across them and Yes they have an entire section dedicated to sch 80 fittings Perfect for soft wash builds. No more Amazon or ordering from out of town supply shops for triple the price. For those interested where they are located.....Simply invest 2 mins in research and then go shopping at your local Lowes.
*I haven't used it yet, however, this pressure washer replacement gun offers greater spray flexibility over the standard sprayer gun that came with my pressure washer originally.*
I'm looking for that quick disconnect. I have all the parts except for that 1 piece. Where did you get it and what is the size? I tried lowes, home depot, and northern tools. Northern tools has one but I can only get it to go in 2 to 3 threads.
Hey Tim I just got my Titian hose reel in so I can start setting up my soft wash system. But I have a few questions. How should I connect my 1/2 flexilla house to my reel?
I’m running my hose from my pump through the reel. Some will say to cam lock it using Banjo cam locks. I haven’t had any problems with running it through the reel. If it’s not stainless, I’d use the reel for storage only. Use 1/2 stainless fittings if connecting to the reel. Hope this helps.
Thanks i appreciate it . I have a issue with my 12 volt pump is Not giving me what I want BUT I think is because my soft hose is 3/8” and is blowing my fuse I just purchased 1/2” hose ..
Can you use a soft wash wand with a pressure washer if you set the PSI lower? Instead of the barb could you install a female quick connect to attach it to the 3/8" pressure line? Would that work or am I delusional ? I am running a 420cc simpson 4 gpm pressure washer
I’ve never tried it. In theory maybe. I prefer to just nozzle down and use a good stout gun. I switch nozzles and I’m back to high pressure. With a softwash gun, you couldn’t do that.
I don’t have a parts list but I got all of it from Home Depot. Just screen shot it would be the easiest. I’d go break it out and list it all but I’ve been so slammed. Appreciate the comments. Thank you for watching.
It comes down to personal preference. This one works well. The ball valve can be cracked open but I guess you can do that with a garden nozzle as well. Not sure if it gets more reach or not.
New Sub here Can someone please explain something on mix ratios? I'll be using a 3,000 PSI / 2.4 GPM machine, and downstreaming What kind of scenarios would I need 100% SH in my 5-gallon bucket?
It’s the same coupler as the 1/2 one, it’s just curved at a 45 degree angle. Look up my soft wash guns video. One of the guns has that fitting. I believe they are schedule 80. You can probably find them locally. My Home Depot did not have any.
Mate I am in Ireland and we just can't get the parts you guys have our hardware stores just don't stock this gear if I send you the money would you send me all the parts I need.

Fantastic video and VERY easy to follow. Thank you so much! Obviously everyone loves it since you have zero dislikes!
Thank you for watching and commenting!
Expert Power Wash thanks for posting! Excellent content keep it up!
Very thorough and well put together
Thankyou for your video and saying it’s a riser pipe! The Home Depot employees thought I was dumb because I asked for a threaded pvc pipe lol
Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope it was helpful.
If you heat up that riser you can bend the pvc to a 45 degree angle. No fitting needed
Good tip! Thank you
I used to use when I didn't have anything when I very 1st started a long time ago I used the muffler from my truck to heat the PVC and make a bend
Awesome video. Love the authentic feel to it lol.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching.
Tim,
Thanks man, this video is very helpful.
I sent you an email yesterday under power washing by chris
Great info, thanks for the video, you’re humble guy.
Thank you!
Good stuff love it
Thank you!

Thank you for sharing that. I rarely go to Lowe’s. I’ll have to look around next time I’m in there.
@@ExpertPowerWash Were you able to find where they are at Lowes?
Kevin Cupples haven’t been to Lowe’s
@@ktpowerwashing I'm guessing the the schedule 80 stuff at Lowes is in the secret electrical department.

Thank you so much for the information. I really appreciate the guidance!
Thanks for watching.
Good stuff! Thanks!!!
Glad you liked it!
Nice vid! super simple! Good job bro!!
Thanks for watching!
I’m going to add a quick connect between the lance and the ball valve so I can first close the ball valve and then switch to a shorter or longer lance
That works. Appreciate the comments.
Expert Power Wash just a thought! Thanks for the great video
Great video brother 🙌🏼👍🏼
Thank you! Appreciate the comment
Thanks Tim for this information. I'm looking forward on using to making this wand
Thanks for commenting. Good luck with the gun. They are easy to make. Just make sure you have a good seal on all the pieces.
Would like to see the system you connect this gun to.
We built tons of systems. Check out our other videos on the channel. This was a cheap gun option. We use 510 guns currently.
Thank you so much! Very helpful.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for commenting.
Gotta show how it works
All you need is a regular pressure washing gun with a ball valve and M5
Soft wash
@@ExpertPowerWash the ball valve creates the soft wash
That half inch riser or three-quarter inch
Give us a call at the shop with any tech questions. That is an older video. We are currently liking the Suttner gun for Softwash.
Tim,
Thanks for the video, I just also watched your drop stick video, great stuff. As far as your J.Rod goes what 4 tips do you use. Thanks, chris
Tim,
Can I email you a question..?
Chris
Yes, expertpowerwash@gmail
Man my Home Depot sucks 😂 all they had was the ball valve
thanks !
Thanks for watching and commenting.
The stainless quick connect you used was it an air fitting or is it designed for water
Pressure washer quick connect
Great video. Would you apply the true blue to all the threads?
True blue is best for pvc to pvc.
My question is does a softwash gun with a pressure wash tip shoot further than a regular ole garden hose??
I think so. The gun and nozzle straighten out the flow.
where did you get the quick connect
We have some on our site pressurewashingskids.com
Curious to know can your experience is there a difference between using a wand a spray gun? Which is better, what's the pro and cons of both?
We are using the Suttner ST510 softwash gun. This was just a quick easy build on a budget.
Do you think this gun would be good for a 7gpm pump with 5/8 hoses? Being that the gun is 1/2 inch.
Yes with 5/8 fittings and 3/4 ball valve to limit restrictions.
Nice, very nice
What size is the quick connect ?
Been a while since that video. Think it’s the 1/4 on the end
Great video, does it matter what j rod you use
As long as the nozzles work with your pump. I ordered my J rod from Pressure Tek. Comes with all the correct sizes.
Do the nylon fittings hold up to the SH as well as the PVC?
I’d always try to use banjo fittings or schedule 80 PVC. The nylon seems softer.
I'm looking for that quick disconnect. I have all the parts except for that 1 piece. Where did you get it and what is the size? I tried lowes, home depot, and northern tools. Northern tools has one but I can only get it to go in 2 to 3 threads.
Did you ever find it? I’m having same trouble. All the ones I find the tips don’t lock in, only air compressor fittings work in them.
We sell the good ones in Portland.
THANK YOUUU!!!!!🤑🤑🤑
No problem!!

hey man quick question .. So you have 1/2" fitting for the hose and next to it you have 3/4 bolt valve? how is the pressure ?
Good pressure. 1/2 works just as well. It’s what I had at the time
Thanks i appreciate it .
I have a issue with my 12 volt pump is Not giving me what I want BUT I think is because my soft hose is 3/8” and is blowing my fuse I just purchased 1/2” hose ..

@@ExpertPowerWash Thanks for the reply. I think I'll just build my own soft wash set up. What GPM motor would you recommend?
I like the 5.5 GPM pump.
Great vid!!!! Keep up the good work brother! Did you have a parts list some where??
I don’t have a parts list but I got all of it from Home Depot. Just screen shot it would be the easiest. I’d go break it out and list it all but I’ve been so slammed. Appreciate the comments. Thank you for watching.
Whats the advantage to this vs a regulate Gilmour gun with QC on it?
It comes down to personal preference. This one works well. The ball valve can be cracked open but I guess you can do that with a garden nozzle as well. Not sure if it gets more reach or not.
If you dont use brass what other material better to use
Stainless whenever possible.

Can someone please explain something on mix ratios?
I'll be using a 3,000 PSI / 2.4 GPM machine, and downstreaming
What kind of scenarios would I need 100% SH in my 5-gallon bucket?
Honestly, wouldn’t recommend that small of a machine. It can be done I suppose. You probably could do some draw tests and figure out how it’s pulling.
What size is that 45 degree fitting so its easier to apply sh? Thanks
It’s the same coupler as the 1/2 one, it’s just curved at a 45 degree angle. Look up my soft wash guns video. One of the guns has that fitting. I believe they are schedule 80. You can probably find them locally. My Home Depot did not have any.
Question where is a good place too buy a j rod at
Pressure Tek select your size of machine and they do the rest. Super easy. Hope that is helpful. Thanks for watching.
Can I use this on my pressure washer 4000 psi 4gpm??
Ricky walker no the PVC is for use with a soft wash system or low pressure. Most soft wash pumps are under 150 PSI

@@ExpertPowerWash Damn, your a good man, gained a sub from me. I'm near Grove City, awesome to see someone from area on youtube.
Does the length of the gun from 6",12",18 really make a noticable difference with everything else the same ?
I haven’t tested that. I imagine a shorter gun would be ok.
