  • Beaver dam removal and finally it collapsed. I spent here more than 1.5 hour. The problem is that fields are not in use while the dams are here. I have to get rid of it.

    A simple trick to convert Celsius to Fahrenheit (not sure if it's dead on but it is very, very close). Double Celsius temp. and then add 30. Notice on video he said it was 12 degrees Celsius or 54 degrees Fahrenheit. 12x2= 24+30=54.

    The slower movement of water created by beaver dams can also help to alleviate drought conditions. During hot and dry spells of weather - such as the 2022 drought which impacted large parts of the UK - the water stored in beaver wetlands was released slowly downstream, helping to maintain local river and stream flows, and producing ‘green oases’ in which wildlife such as toads, dragonflies and water voles could survive.

  • @terryhatcher9644
    @terryhatcher9644 6 месяцев назад

    Skill, not luck. Lucky is when you just about fall in but you save yourself. That electric branch chainsaw sure does speed up the work. What brand did you purchase? Elfa Roberta should have asked the Easter Bunny for one to let you use. I guess she will get chocolate instead. Have a Happy Easter with the Family and eat well.

    Hello from Fargo, North Dakota USA! The trappers in North America almost brought beavers to extinction in the late 1800's, though they made a comeback. Do you do the same area over and over? Where do the beavers go? Do the downstream land owners complain? Thank you!

    just 1 question. Why are you doing this by hand and not with a long reach excavator? You would get so much more of the dam removed and it would be removed in so much faster of a time basis with half of the physical effort.

  • @Thea_MojaveOutliersWhipmakers
    @Thea_MojaveOutliersWhipmakers 6 месяцев назад

    I had an idea. What if you took some PVC pipe, cut to say 6 to 8 ft (depending on how thick the dam is), and just pounded it through the base of the dam, from the upstream side to the down stream side, in an effort to poke a hole through the dam, right through the mud the beavers usually have packed against the base of the upstream side? MIght be a bit tricky to hit the end of the pipe properly, since the water can get pretty deep. It might be helpful to cut the end going through the dam at a sharp angle, so that it doesn't get as easily stuck on branches inside the dam, and you can turn the PVC and try to maneuver past obstacles? I dunno what diameter pipe would be best to create a hole, though... the idea being to weaken the dam more at it's base, and see if this helps accomplish a washout?

    • @Thea_MojaveOutliersWhipmakers
      @Thea_MojaveOutliersWhipmakers 6 месяцев назад

      OR! Once you've cleared enough debris on the downstream side of the dam, maybe pound (i.e., with a hammer of some kind, or a shovel) the PVC up into the dam from downstream side to upstream side, to make holes?

  • @モフモフ-z7d
    @モフモフ-z7d 6 месяцев назад

    The dam suddenly collapsed again.🤓
    He was also able to safely escape from the collapse.
    Maybe..I wonder if I was able to avoid it because the sound of the water changed? 💧🎶→🎵
