Just a heads up, you can get to Mach 2 almost immediately by dash-sliding. It’s a great way to ensure you hit Mach two quickly when you don’t have a lot of space. It could probably save a few seconds on your run but it could definitely save a bit on the third secret too.
aint it technically mach 3? the game files suggests there are 4 mach states even while mach 1 and 2 are identical technical wise, they have different animations and sounds
It is Mach 3, actually. Mach 1 is when you press shift, mach 2 is when pep just runs, mach 3 is when he dashes, mach 4 is when he turns into something you do not wanna to see.
