- On June 30, PM Narendra Modi visited Delhi University to address the valedictory ceremony of the centenary celebration of DU. During his visit, the Delhi Police put several student activists under house arrest, calling them “a threat” to PM’s visit. The Wire spoke to several students regarding PM Modi’s visit in the Delhi University.

Look at what happened in Karnataka 2023 elections, the authoritarian BJP was voted out by a large majority and the voters are getting what was promised by the Congress Party of Karnataka. आपका यह कहना कि विश्वविद्यालय बचाने की इतनी जरूरत नही है, आपका यह कहना सही नही है विश्वविद्यालय मे देश का युवा निवास करता है युवा की सोच,दशा से देश को दिशा मिलती है ,अतः विश्वविद्यालय मे अच्छे लोकतान्त्रिक विचार धाराओं का प्रवाह बहुत जरूरी है,विश्वविद्यालय के शताब्दि समारोह मे प्रधानमंत्री का सम्बोधन एक अच्छी परम्परा है परन्तु अफसोस है कि प्रधानमन्त्री जिनको सम्बोधित करने आ रहे है,उन्ही पर तरह-तरह के प्रतिबंध लगाकर एक अलोकतांत्रिक प्रक्रिया का शुरूआत की जो कि लोकतांत्रिक देश के लिए शुभ संकेत नही है और विश्वविद्यालय के युवाओ मे एक निराशा का भाव उत्पन्न करती है,प्रधानमंत्री का इस तरह का हस्तक्षेप विश्वविद्यालय मे बिल्कुल सराहनीय नही है,जब वह अपने देश के युवाओ के ही प्रश्नो से ढरकर युवाओ पर ही प्रतिबंध लगा रहे है तो फिर दुनिया के पटल पर देश की समस्याओ को कैसे सामना करेगे?
