I got a ride with Bud in 1985 in Miss America p-51 at the Yakima airshow for $300.00. Yes it was the best 300 I have ever spent.

It's a "handful" to fly something this big and with this much power.

What a difference of technology when compared to a Spitfire. The Corsair sounds too much more quiet into the cockpit.

that's would be even more cool if camera will at eyes level and in ideal, moves with eyes balls synchronously would be fantastic cool:)

Corsair, Enemy Slayer, who whistled death to wrong but whose music in your voice brought hope to the good, I salute "your able wings of angels", justice, peace, majesty and wonder! Now I just need some hefty dollars to buy me one before I'm too old :-y

I’m a bit late to this but it’s definitely not he likely has a sound dampener on the camera since this was before GoPro had them built in but even in a small Cessna it’s extremely loud without a headset on

Ex air force line mechanic and auxiliary crew member on C-97 four engine cargo planes. They were powered by P&W R-4360 28 cylinder radial engines that could produce 3500 to 4300 hp each. Big plane, over 12,000 hp on take off. Riding as a passenger was an experience in mega decibel noise levels, especially when it was a training flight and the plane was empty of sound absorbing freight. On take off, all 12,000 HP was often used. The thunderous sound of 12,000 HP was not only ear splitting but you could feel the power of the four engines in your body. I remember feeling my teeth vibrate during an over gross weight take off from an air base in the Panama Canal Zone.
Fighter pilots are seated with their head and shoulders above the fuselage shell. This gives them a 360 degree view. This would probably account for the relative quiet of a fighter planes cockpit.

You can't explain to someone what it's like to be behind a big radial.

It's a blue position light. Pause at 10:10 and you can clearly see another one in the same sopt on the right wing.
