How do you take care of your kite ?

On a windy day you don’t want to have bad surprises with your kite loosing air right after pumping it, or breaking in half just after a little crash on the water. In this video I’m giving you some tips on how to take a good care of your kite so you don't experience these kind of problems.

If you go for a break but don't want to pack your kite, you can at least collect all the kites from your friends and make them cover each other. Those not on the top will get much less sun/wind/sand.

Another tip from me: Don’t store your kites in a loft, garage or shed where temperatures can be extreme. Keep them in your house/flat where temperatures are comfortable. Furthermore, in lofts, garages and sheds, there is the real risk that mice and other pests will use your kites as nesting material.

In spots like tarifa when you can kite all day like he said is better finish a sssion pack de kite have a eat break inflate again and fly. Less time in the beach is better for the kite so don’t be lazy.

Exactly, in my episode of how to pack your kite I mentioned to cover the valve if possible to avoid damaging the canopy

In my spot in the Netherlands there are so many people flying around with halve inflated kites. Flick the leading edge with the tip of your finger, if it has a high pitched noise, it’s good. Otherwise: keep pumping.

я думал что настоящим кайтером можно называться когда у тебя есть пляжный раскладной стульчик, потом увидел как чуваки стряхивают щеточкой песок с мокрого кайта, и понял, что кайтер, это тот у кого есть щеточка, но ты разбил мое убеждение в прах.
Как тогда быть в ситуации, когда уже поздняя осень, и каждый вечер кайт мокрый из-за влажного воздуха и собирать на пляже без щеточки...руками стряхивать весь песок это ж еще хуже наверно, а песок липнет ооочень сильно к мокрому кайту, сложить облепленный песком кайт, темболее стремно, мини ракушка может пробить рипстоп...и песок как абразив. как быть в таких ситуациях...

Your description of the ambient for kitesurfing doesn't sound attractive hehe
Anyway in this kind of situation maybe the best would be to dry properly your kite in the garage or even in the apartment as I have my friend doing it, this you do when you are more in love with your kite than your wife 😅
