I think Royal Rumble is next for 2 nights. Men’s rumble one night and the womens rumble one night. Think it works for the Rumble perfectly. Maybe Survivor Series also? A War games match each night. Sounds more digestible to me and WWE will make a boat load.
I'm not a fan of the 2 night events. I never liked mania being two nights, but companies evolve, i guess.

a 2 night summerslam I am all for plus velveteen deserves a second chance and I'm glad I wish Jim Ross all the best I'm 42 in August and he and Jerry Lawler were the two I grew up with when watching wrestling back in my young days ..
I think having 2 nights of Summerslam is a terrible idea. You know, there's a thing called quality over quantity. Just keep Summerslam as a 1 night event. And move the show to a later date, because August 1st is too early.

Or you can just bring back the Takeover name, and have them before your big 5.

@hamthemammothhamster839 sounds good in theory but with No Way Out/Elimination Chamber, what if you get a ladies chamber match from Raw and the mens from Smackdown if wrestlers from the opposing brand has RR winners? I think it would be very tricky to pull it off every year as a single branded PLE.

Just make wrestlemania and hour to hour and a half longer each night that then others might be OK then. I would consider my big shows going 2 nights.
Tennesseean here… Nashville has been confirmed to host Wrestlemania in 2027, they announced that here sometime last year.
TN here to I stay 30min from downtown where the new stadium is being built. Will be my 7th mania and great at a brand new stadium

It’s summertime, great weather and vibes, and we won’t have to wait until Wrestlemania season every year to push the main storylines, rather than the filler we are getting now. I like it.

Now with the title matches being decided for summer slam how do the other title matches get decided? Do they do something at clash at the castle like elimination chamber? Or change the concept at MITB instead of an unscheduled title match anytime they get the second main event at summer slam. What are your thoughts?
I can see them doing the Royal Rumble like this. Night 1 women's RR night 2 mens RR.
2 nights of summerslam will work but the card has to be big. Like the rock,Roman, brock,cena etc big hype main event matches

Any other show than Wrestemania is fine with me overseas, for me I believe that Wrestlemania is at this point an American institution and it deserves to be honored in this country only.
The only problem with triple H's booking smaller shows. The matches are way too long. WWE has historically done 8 matches. But not all the matches were 20-25 minutes long. It's overkill especially because everyone these days wrestles the same way. So the matches all look similar. Without proper ring psychology. Triple H's way gets boring. Id rather have 8 matches and have key matches last long. Wrestling needs to bring back unpredictability anyway.

This is why I like the model for AEW matches. Some go 10-20 minutes and are just for sport and fun. Some go 30+ minutes and are pure bangers. Depending on who's wrestling in the given match, and the match type itself, the matches are typically paced very well, a mix of intense jaw-dropping spots and in-ring psychology to tell a story between opponents. Granted, the latter doesn't happen with as many wrestlers as WWE fans would probably prefer, but the high-profile matches are always exciting and often unpredictable, specifically at PPVs. HHH doesn't need to book things too different than he currently does. He just needs to get out of the way and trust his talents to get in the ring and showcase their respective capabilities when it's time to put up or shut up. I realize that that's not the stereotypical WWE way, as they favor scripting and overproducing literally everything that happens, but if I were HHH I'd try to have more faith in the talents and learn to toss out the rule book sometimes...just sit back and let 'em fn cook 🔥
@empower5228 that's one of my grips about aew is most matches are too long even ones that one talent is suppose to get over and the other talent appears ever 4 months that's why so many talent don't get over sometimes a one sided match makes sense. Not ever match has to be a 5 star match attempt I think a better approach is focus one story's that's what will attract new fans not dream matches that a niche audience inside of some already niche wrestling another short matches getting talent over build guys and girls with momentum a d finally just one match on a television so that might go 20-25 minutes but with the right talent.

The massive roster in AEW is composed of wrestlers from several different backgrounds and wrestling styles, gathered from promotions such as: NJPW, ROH, NWA, PWG, WWE, AAA, CMLL, DDT, HOG, TNA, OWE, WCW, PWN, WOW, MLW, GCW, Defy, Stardom, and Lucha Underground.
Also, AEW was built on the backs of the Elite and former WWE wrestlers such as Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley. So, naturally, it's been booked and produced to reflect those respective interests.
That being said, wrestlers sign with AEW because they want to wrestle the best of the best from all over the world, mate. Everyone wants to shine as bright as they possibly can, and they're willing to put on a clinic whenever they're in the ring. It's a combination of indie mentality and a need to be known as one of the best wrestlers in the world. It's quintessentially what makes a wrestler #AllElite.
I agree that some matches persist for too long...and that some wrestlers get pushed too much when they should probably be jobbing or being utilized primarily enhancement talents...but it is what it is, and I typically enjoy the AEW product for what it is. When the matches are lackluster, it's usually because it's someone who's getting pushed too much (ie. Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Hook, Orange Cassidy), but when the matches are pure bangers, it's because the booking required minimal effort since the wrestlers already know what they're doing and are doing their absolute best to give us the most intense amazing match that they can have at the given time (ie. Adam Page vs Kenny Omega, Hikaru Shida vs Serena Deeb, Young Bucks vs Lucha Brothers, Britt Baker vs Thunder Rosa, FTR vs Briscoes, MJF vs CM Punk, Bryan Danielson vs Will Ospreay).
There are so many great examples to prove my point, mate, but I do respect your opinion on this 👍

Ok since the arena shows at Wrestlemanina at the last Wrestlemania Michael Cole was complaining about the cold. Maybe have Summerslam in arenas that are usually cold when WrestleMania happens.

I don’t get the logic in saying “it’s to much” or “it should only happen once a year” they do it ONCE a year, ONCE and people act like “oh we..we…well it’s just over doing it” that’s 1/365 days in a year for idiots who don’t know. This is a genius idea. Let’s things breath, give matches more time, more storyline. We complain all the time about AEW mis-using talent because they have to much talent on the roster, adding another day allows more wrestlers to be on the card that we want to see.

I’m not looking forward to summerslam being a 2 night event, I just don’t think it’s a big enough show to compare with mania. Also with wwe being publically traded means even if the show doesn’t live up it’s going to bring more revenue so this won’t change. I think 2 nights separates mania from the rest and should be the only one but if they want to do another I’d prefer rumble over summerslam. It’s always fun and a rumble each night would be interesting

I don't like it. I feel Wrestlemania is the biggest event of the year and it's the only event that needs 2 nites. Summer Slam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble are the big ones but doesn't need 2 nites just my opinion.

i absolutely hate this idea of summerslam being a 2 night event. it dilutes the product. wrestlemania should be the only ple that has 2 nights. what happend to wrestlers having to earn their way on to a card. this just reeks of oh we have to get as many people as we can on the show instead of quality. if you want to get on the show than the wrestler needs to be in a feud worthy of the show and not just a participation trophy. i absolutely hate this idea.

With Summer slam doing 2 nights I don’t have a problem with this but we can all agree They need more talent to do this they have lost a lot of good talent over the years because of Vince & other factors like if we had a lot of the talent from black & gold that left for aew we would be sufficient to do this but Triple H you got 2 years to find Good Talent to stack up the rosters even more hey we may Get Sammy, Tay, Ricky & hook so that is some good talent & maybe even don’t laugh Wardlow I am ok with Summer slam being 2 nights it’s the other ppv I can get behind being 2 nights but no other ppv should be 2 nights Mania & Summer Slam now just do those for 2 nights the other big four as a double night like rumble I don’t like that.

The only other show that should be two nights is Royal Rumble so that way the Womens match can be Night 1 and the Mens match can be Night 2. Plus all the titles can be defended on those nights & thats it.
Love it, makes sense to make SummerSlam a massive Summer event. With two days you can go 12 or 13 great matches instead of 10 min shite.
