IMO this was a flattering assessment of how she looks now as well as an under-assessment of procedures she's had done. She no longer looks like herself and is entering 'Uncanny Valley' territory. She was so individually beautiful; just why WHY did she do this.
I hadn’t really seen her for years and years and I saw a video about her new music video and gasped “WHY!?” out loud. I can’t believe how different she looks now. To me it looks like a Gwen impersonator. I love her and wanted to be her as a teenager, but whew. She looks so different now.
i think it's too much filler. first it was too much in the lips, now it looks like she has "pillow face." that or maybe just insane swelling from another facelift, but why would you make public appearances in recovery? so i lean towards filler.
Gwen was such an inspiration to many young girls and women in the alternative scene in the 90s. She was so beautiful and unique and cool. I wish she hadn't messed with her face so much. She looks like every other Instagram model now and it's unfortunate because again, she was so unique.

These people screw with their face to the point of being unrecognizable. If you are 50 and up, I would consider a face lift. But a lot of these people get this shit done when they are young. It does not make any sense.

i really need lip fillers to go out of fashion. there isn't a single person that i've seen that didn't end up going overboard with it, ending up with migrated, overfilled, asymmetrical lips. it's especially telling when you see even people like her, who have lovely lips naturally, going down this road, it's really upsetting.

Injectables look so fake … Kim Kardashian has promoted this fake surgical look and millions of young women are suffering as a result!! She’s the worst role model ever!

I think a good plastic surgery preserves the identity of the person bc if not all faces look the same with that same plastic look, and their personality is lost. It happens to many celebrities.
Gwen was absolutely GORGEOUS when she was younger. It absolutely stinks she felt she had to turn herself into whatever that look is. She went from unique and beautiful to mundane and unrecognizable. That look she used to have was all her and she should have kept rocking it as she aged instead of conforming to what everyone else is doing.

I think the fox eye facelift and lip injections make pretty much everyone look worse. I get it that she’s under pressure to maintain her looks in Hollywood but it’s sad. I was in high school when tragic kingdom came out and all the boys thought she was so hot. She was always unique with her looks, music and style. The key is measure, which considering that they live in surgery land, I don't think they themselves realize what's too much anymore. We commoners mostly see normal faces, so our baseline hasn't been altered. Also as a peculiar thing I've noticed myself within the industry: I get botox and filler here and there as needed. I started on filler because of my nasolabial folds, but so far I have never needed a full syringe on my face, so to not waste what was left, we placed it in my lips - a very small amount. Since I already had medium lips, it was a nice and natural plump result. No one even noticed I did it. They'd think it was how I did my makeup or something. Nowadays, when I call ahead of time to ask if they'll split the syringe, they refuse and say "One syringe per area", so I haven't done it, because NO WAY I need a full syringe in my lips nor my face. It's crazy how they used to do it no problem and now they want to botch you and charge you as much as possible per "area/syringe". T

She is Italian, they never age until their 60s. Just take a look at Silvestre Stallone,Madona before 60. Lady Gaga is still young but she won't age more than Stefani. They have very good genes..

Thank you for this! I am the same age as Gwen & I’m always blown away by how she seems to be aging in reverse. I know we’ve led totally different lives but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t undergo all the surgical interventions if I had the means. She looks absolutely amazing but I definitely noticed the awkward look around 2020 & wondered what happened. I guess it was the facelift? She clearly has an awesome plastic surgeon but does everyone go thru that awkward phase of healing after a facelift? I’ve noticed it with other celebs. I think I would just hide for those few months or however long it takes. It’s crazy how so many of us set unrealistic expectations for ourselves based on what we perceive to be celebs aging gracefully.
Her make up changed too , I know I don't look as plump in my cheeks nor do I look the same as I did at 17, 20 ,25 &30. My style and make up has changed too.

Gwen was the coolest thing ever when she was the lead singer of No Doubt and even at the time she debuted as a solo artist, so talented, she also had a unique look and style, she was a trendsetter. I can understand the pressure to look youthful for as long as possible especially being in the public eye for so long. I actually believe she doesn't look that bad, after her dental work her smile did improve, but she had natural cute lips and IMO it's mostly the fillers there where the change was more dramatic.
Why haven’t you addressed that she clearly had some form of maxillofacial surgery such as double jaw surgery or a chin shaving/reduction? The angle and projection of her chin is totally different. Her list of procedures is extensive, but this is a significant modification that had an extreme impact in changing her face.

I would love to see you make a video on breast implant dangers. I just had mine removed due to BII. Something that many Surgeons don’t recognize, but hundreds of thousands of women do. I thought I was going to die before making it into surgery and I have been given my life back. I have a lot of detoxing to go, but my life is night and day. I look back at pictures from 3 months ago before I got them removed snd look like an entirely different person. I was so white and sickly looking ( I am naturally olive) and swollen. My eyes were horribly blood shot with terrible bags. I just wish I had realized what was slowly killing me and causing auto immune disorder sooner.
it makes me sad because she had similar facial features and the same nose as me! seeing someone with my nose in hollywood which is full of the tiny button noses was refreshing and made me feel less bad but it wasnt good enough which shows people like me that our noses are bad :(
As someone who's of a similar age I think the work she's had done is pretty good. No matter what your face will change a lot between the ages of 26 and 53! She's gone pretty subtle with most of her work. I'm sure it can't be easy to age in the public eye.
She has done more recent changes since the last photo you show of her. She was on Seth Meyers show in Sept of 22’ and she looks even more different. I still love her though😊

What I meant is that people can also look different from makeup. One interview she did a few 3 months ago people said she had more work done and now they are saying it again in her most recent interview...while she may have had work done 3 months ago it is unlikely that she had more just 3 months later. A different style of makeup is probably what looks different now

Yep, tweezing eyebrows over time and frequently definitely does stop them from growing. I have patchy eyebrows because of that and I have had my eyebrows microbladed, but still wear a bit of eyebrow pencil over them.
Yup. I still have the thin 1990s brows since that was the style when I was in my 20s and after decades of tweezing, the hair follicles eventually die off. I like them though and it makes me blend in less with the current thick blocky Instagram brow style.
I guess this explains why I have a hard time recognizing her now. I kind of miss the old Gwen, but hopefully she feels happy and beautiful with what's been done.

Believe it or not, the eyebrows is all makeup! I thought for sure she had something done, but when she released her makeup line this year she gave a brow tutorial. And her brows are very much the same as they were back in 2003 without any makeup. She has got some pretty mad makeup skills.

The brow pencil for her own line GXVE isn't like a normal pencil shape, it's shaped more like a blade, so gives very thin (hairlike) strokes and she said her secret is to use a light shade and a dark shade for more definition, which make it look even more realistic.
Also her top lip has always had the pinched in the middle look. A lot of people assume it’s from botched filler. The filler just makes the shape more obvious. She used to camouflage that shape with the dark lipstick and liner but now she wears a lot more nude or light pink on her lips.

She always used to over draw her lips so when she wears red lipstick now, her lips don't look any different. I think the fox eye facelift and lip injections make pretty much everyone look worse. I get it that she’s under pressure to maintain her looks in Hollywood but it’s sad. I was in high school when tragic kingdom came out and all the boys thought she was so hot. She was always unique with her looks, music and style. Now she’s a mannequin that came hot off the LA assembly line. That’s too bad.

The key is measure, which considering that they live in surgery land, I don't think they themselves realize what's too much anymore. We commoners mostly see normal faces, so our baseline hasn't been altered. Also as a peculiar thing I've noticed myself within the industry: I get botox and filler here and there as needed. I started on filler because of my nasolabial folds, but so far I have never needed a full syringe on my face, so to not waste what was left, we placed it in my lips - a very small amount. Since I already had medium lips, it was a nice and natural plump result. No one even noticed I did it. They'd think it was how I did my makeup or something. Nowadays, when I call ahead of time to ask if they'll split the syringe, they refuse and say "One syringe per area", so I haven't done it, because NO WAY I need a full syringe in my lips nor my face. It's crazy how they used to do it no problem and now they want to botch you and charge you as much as possible per "area/syringe". T

She looked older at 27 than at her peak but it could also be light and filters and lenses quality at the time so who knows.
She is Italian, they never age until their 60s. Just take a look at Silvestre Stallone,Madona before 60. Lady Gaga is still young but she won't age more than Stefani.

This makes me so sad; she was so gorgeous. It's clearly a hollywood thing that causes people to get the surgeries and have the dysphoria, but it's also extremely creepy. She doesn't even look like the same person she was

Partly holly wood and mostly Gwen Stefani. She always wears makeup and is always starving herself. She could have stopped the surgeries awhile ago but wanted more. I don’t think anyone held a gun to her head.

Thank you for this! I am the same age as Gwen & I’m always blown away by how she seems to be aging in reverse. I know we’ve led totally different lives but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t undergo all the surgical interventions if I had the means. She looks absolutely amazing but I definitely noticed the awkward look around 2020 & wondered what happened. I guess it was the facelift? She clearly has an awesome plastic surgeon but does everyone go thru that awkward phase of healing after a facelift? I’ve noticed it with other celebs. I think I would just hide for those few months or however long it takes. It’s crazy how so many of us set unrealistic expectations for ourselves based on what we perceive to be celebs aging gracefully.

Her make up changed too , I know I don't look as plump in my cheeks nor do I look the same as I did at 17, 20 ,25 &30. My style and make up has changed too.

Gwen was the coolest thing ever when she was the lead singer of No Doubt and even at the time she debuted as a solo artist, so talented, she also had a unique look and style, she was a trendsetter. I can understand the pressure to look youthful for as long as possible especially being in the public eye for so long. I actually believe she doesn't look that bad, after her dental work her smile did improve, but she had natural cute lips and IMO it's mostly the fillers there where the change was more dramatic.

Why haven’t you addressed that she clearly had some form of maxillofacial surgery such as double jaw surgery or a chin shaving/reduction? The angle and projection of her chin is totally different. Her list of procedures is extensive, but this is a significant modification that had an extreme impact in changing her face.

I would love to see you make a video on breast implant dangers. I just had mine removed due to BII. Something that many Surgeons don’t recognize, but hundreds of thousands of women do. I thought I was going to die before making it into surgery and I have been given my life back. I have a lot of detoxing to go, but my life is night and day. I look back at pictures from 3 months ago before I got them removed snd look like an entirely different person. I was so white and sickly looking ( I am naturally olive) and swollen. My eyes were horribly blood shot with terrible bags. I just wish I had realized what was slowly killing me and causing auto immune disorder sooner.
it makes me sad because she had similar facial features and the same nose as me! seeing someone with my nose in hollywood which is full of the tiny button noses was refreshing and made me feel less bad but it wasnt good enough which shows people like me that our noses are bad :(
As someone who's of a similar age I think the work she's had done is pretty good. No matter what your face will change a lot between the ages of 26 and 53! She's gone pretty subtle with most of her work. I'm sure it can't be easy to age in the public eye.

What I meant is that people can also look different from makeup. One interview she did a few 3 months ago people said she had more work done and now they are saying it again in her most recent interview...while she may have had work done 3 months ago it is unlikely that she had more just 3 months later. A different style of makeup is probably what looks different now

Yep, tweezing eyebrows over time and frequently definitely does stop them from growing. I have patchy eyebrows because of that and I have had my eyebrows microbladed, but still wear a bit of eyebrow pencil over them.

Yup. I still have the thin 1990s brows since that was the style when I was in my 20s and after decades of tweezing, the hair follicles eventually die off. I like them though and it makes me blend in less with the current thick blocky Instagram brow style.

Gwen is gorgeous inside and out - ❤ she doesn’t look fake and scary like a lot of stars begin looking - she is just stunning and has the sweetest soul.
Sad thing is,
there is no going back to natural. Still love her, again they all look better in the start. The women that don't over do it look ok and she definitely didn't need any surgical alterations, naturally beautiful.
There is also no going back to 20. I would rather look like her at 53 than what most 53 year olds look like

Believe it or not, the eyebrows is all makeup! I thought for sure she had something done, but when she released her makeup line this year she gave a brow tutorial. And her brows are very much the same as they were back in 2003 without any makeup. She has got some pretty mad makeup skills.

@@sobercompanion1506 have a look for the Gwen Stefani eyebrow tutorial, it's probably on RUclips. The brow pencil for her own line GXVE isn't like a normal pencil shape, it's shaped more like a blade, so gives very thin (hairlike) strokes and she said her secret is to use a light shade and a dark shade for more definition, which make it look even more realistic.
Also her top lip has always had the pinched in the middle look. A lot of people assume it’s from botched filler. The filler just makes the shape more obvious. She used to camouflage that shape with the dark lipstick and liner but now she wears a lot more nude or light pink on her lips.

She always used to over draw her lips so when she wears red lipstick now, her lips don't look any different. But occasionally she likes to use a nude lip now and line it with a darker shade which makes them appear ever bigger, but there isn't much difference at all in reality
WOW!! A facelift? That explains so much. I have been looking at her face for years trying to pinpoint what she's had done. I never would've thgt in a million years that Gwen Stefani got a facelift!! It really doesn't matter how beautiful these top notch celebrities are, they will inevitably ALWAYS get something done. I am curious about celebrities who go through this much work. I wonder how they manage their private life around the house w/their partner. Does Blake care? I remember Gwen did a Vogue interview where she admitted to the pressure to stay fashionable. She said she had not eaten in years (good foods she enjoys) and she does it all in the name of fashion! I'm still not convinced Gwen had any plastic surgery. She has beautiful, flawless skin, and she always took care of it. Her always very white skin indicates she is not a sun worshiper, outdoorsy person, which helps maintain the flawless skin.

I think her ex husband did a number on her self esteem. I remember her saying he never liked to see her without her makeup on and she would even wear makeup to bed. I hope her new husband is nicer. He seems like a better guy but who really knows. It would suck to be a aging beauty in Hollywood. I personally think she currently looks gorgeous and probably would be pretty without makeup too.
