I can't understand why some people don't like Lady Gaga singing Jazz... Jazz is so good
Gaga's voice fits perfectly for jazz... I'm not her supporter as a pop singer, but she's awesome singing jazz and American standards. "Cheek to cheek" is the only album of her that I have. She should have more focus in this kind of music.

Think about it this way. Lady Gaga's increasing her Market share. A LOT. A lot of people who thought she was a corporate music machine with no talent now realise they are wrong. They realise "oh, wow, she CAN sing". And are looking back at her old songs, her old albums. Looking behind the meanings of songs and becoming a fan. Her next album will be awesome and the sales will go off the charts.
I think Gaga is doing exactly what she wants to, no matter what anyone thinks. Maybe she'll go back to crazy Ra Ra Ra phenomenon, but for now I'm content just watching her making her childhood dreams come true.
Hell yeah! Jazz is not really my thing, but I love to see Gaga happy and she is when she sings with Tony!

All you people saying you want "The old Gaga" back are not real little monsters, she is the same person that she was before, I loved her before and I love her now, she's doing whatever she wants as she always does, she does what makes her happy, and she doesn't care about what people say, that's one of her best qualities and you should appreciate that. And I love seeing her trying all this new styles, and she does it so good, now people can see how complete she is as an artist, she actually has true talent, and that's hard to find now a days.

ARTPOP and CHeek to Cheek is her break. And dont you want your mothermonster to be happy? You cannot see her be number1 all the time plus thi Cheek to CHeek is a pure Jazz ofcourse it is not exciting as her pop album. In fact Cheek to Cheek went number1 album for 2 weeks on top 100 and it got a grammy.. Is that a flop? This album is important because it shows Gaga's real talent and real voice range.

I'm not a fan of celebrities. I care about good music, her old music was more entertaining. You can compare her old videos that for 500 millions views to these videos that get 20k views. That must mean, we care about music, not who she is.

I am a little monster and I became one because she was different from the rest of the pop 'artists'. Many of the other pop 'artist' at the era of Bad Romance were creating mass produced common pop music. Lady GaGa came up with her quirky nonconformist style that I believe have set her different from the other celebrities and gained her fans.
Lady GaGa kind of evolved pop music. During Bad Romance/Pokerface (2008-2009) era, pop music did not have outlandish art styles (compare Katy Perry's Hot N Cold and Dark Horse). Lady GaGa was one of the first to have successfully set a trend of outlandish pop music.
And as pop music was becoming more quirky, Lady Gaga went the opposite direction to become more elegant and classic. Mama Monster is different from the rest. As little monsters, we should embrace her ideals of being an individual doing what's artistic and unique instead of what's popular. We should adopt her value of not conforming to mediocre pop culture.

Jazz *is* her comfort zone, she has been singing and playing jazz since childhood, and she has used jazz techniques to make her pop songs better. Her new single sounds very blue, but with pop production.
There's no "Old Gaga, or "New Gaga", just an artist who enjoys various different types of music. If you don't appreciate it, just go back to listening to her previous stuff.
