i love how morgan must've painstakingly tested and developed each recipe and then when she actually tries the drink she's always surprised at how good it is
As someone who lives outside the US, THANK YOU for explaining and describing what graham crackers is! Often times people that live outside the US get "forgotten", and it can be quite difficult to find alternatives when you don't even know what exactly it is in the first place. I also appreciated the explanation of what smores are, even though at this point thanks to social media and movies etc I would think most people know what they are, it's really really nice to make sure that EVERYONE knows what you're talking about. It's something small that means a lot.
Part of the problem is not knowing that stuff like that isn't universal. It's so widespread and commonplace, and the US is so massive, that the idea of a given product on that level of popularity not being at least around isn't an intuitive thought.
Hey Morgan just wanted to let you know that in the past one year I have gained lots and lots of knowledge and exposure from your videos. I am a barista for almost three years now but the first two years didn’t really teach me nothing except for making normal espresso-based drinks from the run-of-the-mill blend that every cafe uses. Just when I was getting bored with the menus, I was searching for a more creative and outside of the box beverage that can help non-coffee drinkers to try coffee as well. Then I found your video talking about light roast beans and coffee mocktails that to me, was the perfect knowledge I needed to start explore about what coffee can actually do. After that I was deep in the rabbit hole of coffee beans exploration, reading all the varieties, different roasts for different types of beans, taste notes, how altitude changes the character, and new cutting edge processing methods. You are one of the reason I am obsessed about coffee, plus it helps my career for improving the menus on the cafe I work for too! Thank you
Biscoff are specifically made or marketed to dunk into coffee in their country of origin. The translation from speculoos to biscoff is actually the combination of biscuit and coffee. I grew up asking my dad to dunk my biscuits into his coffee.
@@marlyd Lol that name makes sense. But if they are made for exactly that why do they have to be soo fragile? You can only dip it for a milisecond before the cookie dissvolves. I need a more stable alternative
The reason there's a bigger drop off in taste for lower quality white chocolate is that it isn't technically chocolate. For milk and dark chocolate, it still contains cocoa. But for white chocolate, it's supposed to be made with cocoa butter. But a lot of the cheaper white "chocolate" doesn't have any cocoa butter at all and you'll notice it doesn't have the word chocolate anywhere on the label. They're just vanilla candy melts most of the time! If something is white-white, it doesn't have cocoa butter in it. If it's a rich creamy off-white color or even almost yellow, it's much more likely to contain cocoa butter
I’m especially intrigued by the pairing of white chocolate and cardamom! I learned a recipe many years ago where you crack whole cardamom’s pods and infuse a French press brew with them, and I know that’s an excellent combination, and I love white chocolate.
Chili peppers, cinnamon, and chocolate are how I do Mexican Hot Chocolate. I’ve never made a spiced syrup, but always love mixing cinnamon and chili powers into it.
Oh, my goodness, all of these sound AMAZING. Here comes the part where I convince my husband (who used to be a chef and restaurant manager and had to learn how to function as a barista in a fancy cafe he managed at one point) to try all of these with me. By which I mean MAKE all of these for me. 😂
White chocolate and cardamom is such a great combo! I used to make truffles with a bit of vanilla too, and they were stunning! Also, you have the most wonderful grin when you drink something you particularly like! :)
Recently stumbled onto your channel! I’m a coffee and tea connoisseur. Personally, I drink matcha every morning and my husband does coffee. We enjoy your content! Good work Morgan!
I was gonna question the detailed description of a s’more but then remembered that episode of Great British Bake-off; I guess some things truly aren’t universal 😂
Lifelong UK resident here, s'mores actually are pretty well known over here, although we usually use Digestives rather than Graham Crackers since that's what we have available. And yeah, we were just as confused by that Bake Off episode as the rest of you!
What used to be my favorite cafe, which didn't make it through Covid lockdown, used to make an awesome Mexican mocha which was basically a spicy cinnamon mocha. Really miss those.
hi morgan!! i started out in my drink journey ( just a tea drinker, previously ) for the first time this weekend, and tried a vanilla steamer!! it was so good. and next up, a london fog! your video for non coffee drinkers inspired me!
My cozy and lazy recipe is the following: 30g espresso(preferably the chocolaty, nutty, caramelly kind) 20-30g good/homemade egg nogg 100-120g steamed milk Pour in the egg nogg, extract the coffee straight onto the egg nogg, swirl a bit(yes, the crema is basically gone), steam the milk, pour on top of the coffee/egg nogg mixture, latte art optional
The smores mocha looks so good 😍😍 a couple of years ago, I remember Starbucks had a smores frappucino. Smores are my favorite dessert, but i never got around to trying the Starbucks version. Now, I'm excited to try the Morgan version!! 🍫🔥☕
With all the recipes flying out there for hot chocolate (coffee free) i am truly wondering about your amazing take on them! I am not really into coffee but i will definitely try to make a biscuit milk for my next hot chocolate!
I love the drinks that you come up with and your true pleasure at tasting them! I get so excited when I create something at my coffee shop and the customer shows that AHH moment when they taste it. Thanks for all your videos!
About 20 years ago I was making chocolate-covered vodka-infused chilies for a treat at our Hogmanay party ( New Year Eve party in Scotland). I cut the ends off the chillies and used my fingers to pull out all of the seeds. I was very careful not to touch my face. I spent the it with my hands in the air, trying not to touch anything. I had severe capscasin burns on in my fingers
Wow 3 drinks we will definitely be making ourselves. That graham cracker milk just gave us an idea for an ice cream too so thank you for that and we will be making that as well because ice cream is a year round thing over here no matter how cold it is.. there’s always room for ice cream haha. Thanks for sharing 3 awesome drinks!
These look incredible!!! I’m pregnant and craving coffee like crazy!! But I’m holding off until she’s born! Due date in 2 weeks! 🥰 what chocolate sauce do you use?
Feeling your pain about straining into a narrow container. A couple of years ago I bought a set of a wide funnel and fine mesh strainer that clicks directly into it from modernist kitchen, and though it was expensive (~$50), it has really paid off in making straining all sorts of things so much better.
The smores mocha is definitely gonna be a hit next family gathering. My nieces and nephews love have mocktail/decaf variations of their parents, so thank you for some of the great ideas!
Hello Morgan, what is the brand that you have in your video for the drip coffee? ☕️ Any brands you recommend for a drip coffee maker for home? Any advise would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Hi Morgan, I was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions regarding the Mocha: I have a superautomatic coffee machine with built in milk carafe, so was wondering how many ml of milk would go into the drink, would it be best to use a single or double shot of coffee & instead of the chocolate syrup could I use pieces of chocolate in the bottom of the mug/glass melted by the shot?. Love the channel Morgan
You could totally melt down chocolate chunks into your espresso, just ensure you do lots of stirring. I’d use a double shot of espresso, somewhere around 35-40mls of espresso in total. 8oz of milk is about 230mls so I’d start there and adjust to your taste preference.
I do love cardamom as a flavor, but I've been having issues finding a flavor to pair it with in my lattes, I'm gonna have to try it with white chocolate
These mocha variants make me really interested to see how she would recommend making a really solid standard mocha. I know there is the "ridiculous mocha" video, but I haven't seen a normal mocha video from a great barista yet.
You completely threw me when you switched to ounces for the milk. I had to say, a bit under 240g, yeah I know how much that is. And I am definitely going to try these!!
My fav chocolate as a kid (mainly coz i would nick it from my mum XD) was the Thornton's White Chocolate Cappuccino 🤤 miss it (im now lactose intolerant 🥲)
Hi Morgan, for the white chocolate mocha drink, how many ml of strong coffee do I need? I do not have espresso. I am using French Press to brew the coffee.
Good morning Morgan, I realy like your content. You have mentiond That if you UT the chocolate sause you have to concider the quality. That is a fact. Nu question is do you make your own chocolate saus, and have you made a video About the proces?
Thanks for making this! Excited to try the smores mocha, but is there any danger in using graham cracker milk in the frothing wand on something like the Breville dual boiler? nothing will get sucked up in there and cause problems as long as I purge after?
I am staring at the graham wafer milk pour in mild horror knowing that I would be doing the exact same thing while also trying to figure out if there are coffee solutions - how much could I make in my french press versus how long would it take to filter through a v60. All the while knowing I would probably still end up standing over the sink trying to do it as quick and relatively painlessly as I can.
Hey Morgan. How would I make a sugar cookie latte(From starbucks) at home? I love that latte and I have no idea how I would make that. 🥺I hope you see this and maybe make a video I would be very happy. (I thought maybe make a sugar cookie syrup but idk )
Hi Morgan, is there a difference between demerara and turbinado sugar? Also have you tried dark muscovado sugar? Also I'm very much excited to make these!! I don't have a espresso machine but I love french press and vietnam coffee. I do have a L'or barista system.

In the UK I would use a digestive biscuit

I think a biscoff cookie or digestive biscuits would work well here, readily available in other countries.
Biscoff most definitely, that’d be delicious

Use a funnel under your strainer for a mess-free strain. Works for me every time with my infusions.

the sound of the steamed milk pour at 12:14 is so comforting

I’ve the mistake of not explaining pretty universally American experiences/foods in the past and it always just leads to confusion
came here to say the same thing. you’ve got to appreciate Morgan’s thoroughness!
This is the first time a gram cracker has been explained to me. I've heard the name before but never knew what they were

To roast marshmallow, it's better to use indirect heat to caramelize the outside as opposed to using a torch which would burnt it.
