WOW!!! 🤯. What an amazing binding system resulting in a gorgeous book!!! Great job 👏 Caroline! This is very impressive! Thank you for sharing your genius creativity!
Hi Caroline! I hope you are having a very nice day. I just started watching and have already learned a new useful tip! Thank you for the finger blade tip!!! I use the Cricut paper trimmer and then turn it over to do the other side and sometimes I have a small lip if I didn't measure exact so I think this will help. I'm also excited to rewatch this one and follow along as I love this opening and can't wait to try this. Thank you for all you do. 🤗💚
That was a great tutorial and a beautiful project. I will definitely be trying your binding system. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. Love your creativity.
This is such a unique way of binding your signatures and I will definitely give it a try. I'm thinking about making this album for my future daughter in laws engagement pictures. In your opinion do you think the binding would support pictures placed on every page and if so I'm wondering if that many pictures would make it too bulky. Any thoughts you have about these concerns would be helpful Caroline. Would you use this album specifically for pictures? I don't think I would mat the pictures or add any other embellishments. Thank your so much for sharing your talent with us!
Oh, how wonderful! Congratulations on your growing family. This album is great for an “old timey” scrapbook or modern day art journal/junk journal. Adding journaling, photos, invitations, theatre tickets, and whatever keepsakes you like. If I were adding photos in every page, I would increase the width of the spine and stitch my signatures 1/2” apart instead of 1/4” apart to allow for the added bulk. You could also insert pages of vellum or kitchen parchment between each page of patterned paper to serve as a buffer between the pictures if you are concerned they may “stick” on each other. I just wouldn’t add any interactive elements between the pages since there aren’t any gussets. That being said, you *could* add interactive elements between the signatures?? For example, adding a twist and pop on the back of a signature would allow for movement because it is between the signatures. Especially if you increase the spacing between signatures. Hope that makes sense? The possibilities really are endless, lol! Thank you so very much for taking the time to watch and comment. I love discussions like this and am thrilled to be able to share and learn from and with others. ✨✨✨
Oh! And I agree…no need for matting behind the photos…it would be too bulky. But some cute photo corners would be great! And the binding will definitely support the weight of photos. 😊 Thanks, again, Kim! ((hugs)) ✨
Thanks so much, Jocelyne! The paper is showing as "sold out" on the website, but I spoke with Tamra yesterday and she said they may have more in the warehouse. You can always give her a call or send her an email using the contact information here: www.countrycraftcreations.com/pages/contact-us She will be able to let you know if there are more in the warehouse or if they are expecting more from the printers.
