Wow, it seems to always happen like this. Everything breaks at the same time for us too. Way to keep smiling and looking on the bright side ☀️ It looks like your sweet puppy helps cheer you up too. We are glad the bus tire replacement was so much less than expected. Aaron did you run a Tough Mudder race? Rachel did and if she ever did it again she would do it on a much warmer day! Working out always helps us feel better 💪

They say bad luck always comes in 3’s, so hopefully we’ve finished our run and things will get back to normal 😅.
The puppy does her best, she’s our (unofficial) emotional support dog.
Thankfully the tyre was cheaper, those guys really came through for us.
Congrats Rachel, that’s awesome, it’s not called the “Easy Mudder”, well done. Aaron has ran a few Mudders and a few Spartans, good fun. Here in Aus it’s the opposite, we prefer it to be cooler 🥵.
Working out is essential for mental health, it’s hard to stay motivated ob the road though. Do you guys have any tips or strategies to keep us in check?

@@TravellingNowhereFast Awe! We totally understand having an "unofficial emotional support pet"! When I'm having a hard time Andy always has me pet our kitty boy. Wow Aaron! Great job! Understandable with the weather in Au... It was close to freezing when I ran the tough mudder which was rough along with all the water! I will say working out is much easier for us to fit in when it seems fun. A run or hike is always nicer exploring a new place (or maybe bringing the weights to beautiful spot?). I have been inspired by you encouraging me with lifting. I have one set of 10 pound dumbells I have been creative with this week :) Thank you! We agree, the bad luck comes in 3's so great vibes are about to head your way.

Brrrr 🥶. Freezing cold Tough Mudder sounds intense!
Good to hear you’re lifting, it’s very good for you. There’s plenty you can do with those 10lbs, good on you 👍.
Sending some good vibes your way too, we really appreciate you watching and your thoughts on our random lives 😊

What are your thoughts on putting Betty on a trailer behind the bus?? OR, if the bus has belly bins, selling Betty and buying a couple of E-Bikes or perhaps Scooters and storing them in said bins when shifting campsites??

    • @TravellingNowhereFast
      @TravellingNowhereFast  Год назад

Trust us, selling Betty was definitely discussed this last week 😂. But sometimes (when we’re a few kms from a town) we really do need a car. But scooters are a good idea, they’ll be going on the list of stuff for the future. Thanks for the thoughts, any other tips make sure to send them our way 😊

Yes… we really lucked out on an e-bike that was $300 because it’s refurbished.. might be a good solution. What ever works out for you guys best wishes your way.

That’s an awesome deal!! We would love to get electric skateboards, but they are super expensive. 😱

If your staying in or near cairns there's a nice little spot at Babinda on the south side of town clean area can swim as well. Nice little spot gold coin donation. Then if you want there's a spot called Ross n Locke just west of Gordonvale where you can park up its free and can stay as long as you like.

Beauty, thanks for telling us! We have heard Babinda is a good spot, and we’ll check out the other one as well.
Do you know of any cool attractions up this way? We want to go to Wallaman falls, but we haven’t researched north of Ingham yet.

Hi, I put a new set of batteries in my bus a week ago, A1 batteries in Townsville, $4000 for 4, 210AH Fullriver batteries, they fitted them, which I am glad of because they weigh 70kg each, I was very happy with their service. One of my old batteries had a dead cell, fridge would be off by 8pm, lights soon after.
Best of luck with your travels.

Thanks Mark, and thanks for the recommendation 😊. I think we’ll have to do the same (replace batteries), because as you know, no fridge is not great!
Drive safe, maybe we’ll see you on the road. Which way are you headed?

I'm currently at Giru, still working at the moment, I drive a mud truck out of Invicta mill. When the season ends I'll be heading south, haven't decided on anywhere in particular to go yet, I'll probably just follow my nose and do some exploring.

    • @TravellingNowhereFast

Nice one, it’s pretty good money from what I’ve been told.
There’s plenty of great spots south, you won’t have any problems finding things to see and do 👍

I've been doing the mud trucks for four seasons now, 6 months work and that finances my travels for the other 6 months. If you're ever in the Burdekin between June and November and looking for work let me know because we're always chasing drivers.

Thanks Mark, legend 👍. I was in Ayr for a few weeks a while ago actually, just doing farm work though.
