Just a quick clarification about the 'bugged' mission at the end of the video! The tech was asking for a Stud Pulse Booster and not the Little Slipstream one I placed on It which is what caused the issue. HOWEVER - You are supposed to be able to remove the incorrect tech part as you can with other missions OR simply not be able to place an incorrect tech part. This was the main issue as It doesn't name which booster It wants and I just got the size wrong then got very.. very confused. Which admittedly isn't anything new!
and so much adhd i also become amused because he is amused, its really part of why i love the channel as hes quite like me in the "doing doing SQUIRL! hehe stupid thing, right back to doing"
I wish terratech had that, ngl. Like, if the game detects a tech has been anchored for a long time and is above a certain block limit, then the techs around it will spawn progressively stronger and more aggressive. You'd get a higher reward for getting them, but equally you'd need to put the work in like lathrix has done.
@@ryanschmitz1897 for me the invasions always spawn the same tech for years now. ...two different laptops, several playthroughs, big and tiny techs and so on. They are also far too rare and seemingly never near my base to actually be threatening.
Suggestion for Lathrix base-building; Remove the battery from the “Heart” of the base and put them around the sides, and instead slap down a rotating base and build one massive turret using Big Bertha as a primary weapon. Just for intimidation factor.

I started watching you way back during the original FtD days and thought it'd be really fun if you did a series of revamping all of your old vehicles to work in current FtD

I have a decent challenge for the next playtrough. Make a single craft that is pretty much a mobile base (refining, resource holding, etc ) with the catch being you can't fly, can't use solar panels and you have to have your cab on the outside (can be behind shields obviously). Currently doing it myself and it's quite challenging
Just cause I found this out recently, you can create a snapshot of an scu through the tech manager screen. Spawning that snapshot in has a longer range than just placing the scu on the ground, making it easier to snatch up blocks from a large tech’s destruction
I love how much your future lathrix has evolved from just a cab to a stickman that has a very tall thing on it's back, and I like how at 3:31 it was perfectly cut like moments before your future lathrix creation hit the ground
I tried the power distribution net, in the end all my turrets ended up with a few solar panels & batteries and I made a large battery bank in the network & let everything charge it. Extra batteries on the pylons help too. What's also useful is a turret with a scu - mine had two, a battery stack, some panels, power transmitter things so it could charge nearby turrets... and a tesla coil for fun. Can drop them as the centre of a turret nest for missions.

the booster thing was painful XD Lathrix there are two types of venture boosters and that was the wrong one!!! It was too small!!! You're so much better than me at Terratech it's funny to see the little goofs sometimes

I feel like Future Lathrix is going to end up as the next Derptron at this rate. I'm loving the solidly-built power station. It seems quite hard to get structures to look and feel "solid" in Terratech, so it's nice to see one that isn't just a brick of batteries and the like.

I literaturely like the varied welcomes! Include a power-radiator in the turret blueprint, and they double as power lines. Greentech wind generators would look nice on that base, just saying, it's not that I haven't tried it out but worked, anyway... Of course we subscribe, and like, because you enjoy gaming, and don't play when the mood isn't there. Hope all your family turmoils settled the best way.
this reminds me that i have to add some stuff to my lil "psuedo faction" ive been working on here and there. currently i have a Air Traffic control tower/ garage, a Multipurpose cargo truck, smaller version of cargo truck for defending them, fuel tanks, and a Recharge station. so i got to think of a few more stuff to add to it. also really love the powerstation and pylons, they look great!

Just bought terratech and was looking at some videos and clicked on yours, when you said your name I was kinda shocked because I recognized it and checmed the channel name and recognized that too. Don't remember when I watched you or for how long but I know you must have been one that I had watched a decent amount for me to recognize you at all.
I think you should raise the gso quad missile pods up one block so rather than being sunken into the sloped armor plating, it sits flush ontop of them Would give them a lot better angle for firing, especially downwards
1:12 I'm pretty sure it is air resistance that is doing that but it depends on if it's zero-grav or anti-grav but im pretty sure that the anti-grav is still working similar to anti-grav though in terratech because it doesn't really give you -1 gravity
21:34 same happenned with me, but I put the correct booster on, it just didn't register the booster being there because I guess I attached the booster to quickly so, yeah. I had to restart the game fully. but I had to restart the game pretty soon anyway to get the waste land biome to spawn, so I would've lost all my progress anyways.
Maybe try making an airplane which flies in a straight direction on its own, equipped with one of those power generators which produces power from motion, as well as a small tech on top which changes its weight depending on whether you're fully charged or not, if you're fully charged the tech's extra weight will cause it to turn the airplane back towards the base where it will be parked by the base, allowing it's charge to be depleted so that the counterweight causes it to once again fly off and get extra power. The small tech can check whether it's finished charging, by having many more wireless chargers than the airplane itself meaning the only way for the airplane to not get the energy given right back is if it is fully charged.
Hey lath. I am currently replaying an old game you showed me, They are billions. And honestly it's current version is way better than the one you explored. The mission design when the game lets go of your hand is amazing. And there are new enemies like harpies and giants to see and die to. I would say kill but I doubt that's happening with how powerful they are.
Hey lath love ur vids but, I wanted to let you know about this simple little trick. Instead of holding right click on a tech and then going over to the switch tech Icon you can just double click on the tech that you wanna switch to.

I highly reccomend making a magnet flier to fly around your base and bring blocks to your bed of scrappers.

Careful with the amount of those rotary caution lights you place around, too many will impact your performance since the lighting isn't baked.
