- It's such a simple thing but I am SO happy to see true maps in the game at last along with waypoints! Everything just got far more cohesive for our base and our place in this world!
The new dream tech is insanely fun to use! It's simple, but for me simple builds RARELY work out well! Will be driving around in this hard to damage climber for a long time to come!

I feel like you should also add the Venture Dual Auto Cannons to the top. Give yourself some covering fire should you come across a tech and add some cool points, especially since it has four connection points, it'll sit center, all nice and deadly.
I was thinking more along the lines of some very small missiles or something. Light weaponry
@@admirali.a.6175 That's I figured the dual autocannons. The output is good, but actual damage is not over the top.
Despite its overall size, I think it qualifies as light to medium light.

Don't worry about the wait times, we're still here! Moving is stressful in this environment, and we understand if it necessitates time without uploads on a more time-consuming series, and I know Terra Tech is a time-consuming series if you let it be - the game gets addictive fast, whatever it is you're doing. I'm excited for this increased upload schedule though, as it'll be quite enjoyable to get these videos ever the more often!
I think the reason your new craft gets so much time in the air is a combination of things - obviously going at such a high speed with the aid of the thrusters over a near-vertical ramp is assisting, but also because it's pretty much all Venture blocks, which are quite light. So, since TerraTech doesn't simulate air resistance (I don't think it does, and even if it did your craft has a very low profile from the front), the thing barely gets pulled back down by gravity, even if its momentum in the air has nothing on the energy of a similarly sized Hawkeye or Geocorp craft should one move at those speeds. That would also be why it falls so slowly, because it's so light - and if TerraTech does simulate air resistance, than because it levels out and falls at pretty much the highest drag angle it possibly could. I wonder how it might perform with some aggressive gyros on it; that might be funny.
25:33 Perhaps they could add a sort of 'beacon' block that lets you place a permanent, namable waypoint by way of a tech. Then the challenge of needing to defend it and keep it armored, repaired, powered and safe comes into play.
For that last one, doesn't the Signal Marker work fine? Sure, it could use some additional colors, but it it otherwise works fine. It even has its own anchor!

Minor thing Lathrix, there are TWO new Venture radars, the other one gives you the coloured map on the minimap. I find it is sometimes a bit confusing, but I'm used to the grey minimap. Time will tell on this matter. Perhaps you saw it and just didn't include it in this awesome video, in which case, ignore this comment. Though it does feed Al G. Rhythm, so there is that.

Another fun wall crawler uses the hoverbug, but upside-down so it pushes the tech into the ground. It's strong enough to make even relatively heavy techs able to go upside-down in the loop in R&D . Pairs nicely with the linear motion engines to control the downforce. Bonus points for using skids instead of wheels to make a hoverbug sled.

Great to see you, and the series back after that time. On the notes of the crawler craft, that thing really is very well done as a scout, and coming from a guy who loves using smaller scout style vehicles for combat that's high praise. I wouldn't let that airtime bug you either, cause any good scout should be able to use the terrain to make jumps like that, might seem overpowered, but its part of the role in my opinion. Besides its super satisfying.
This new craft is amazing.
I never really played with the linear motion machine or venture bike wheels, so today I found out how cool each is on their own, and combined. Thanks for showing this off, great video again.

Staggered fire is now sort of possible, it's still not easy to use, but it now works. The Reticule research now has little components that can be used to automatically activate guns, so using the buttons in that section you can set up a system to where you right click a button on your tech, and then all the weapons fire in a specific order. Also, some people have been using another piece in this section to make bomb bays, so you can build up tons of bombs, and drop them all at once.

Still I keep my suggestion up for the idea of a gso build, normally they're the master of none I'd love to see the amalgam of masters put together, all corporations into one massive tech ready to absolutely devour the world.
Really liked the idea of seeing something like a Geocorp flyer aswell! Imagine this right... A massive shadow approaches ready to suck up and devour any tech beneath it, perhaps making use of the oh so underrated magnets to suck up parts of the ground like a massive vacum sweeping up foes before taking them back to be scrapped.
(And yes I know you've used magnets in the past, I've just always liked the idea of having magnets on a flyer to transport things, and think it could work well with a geocorp one.)
No sound, no warning just the ever looming threat of the death vacum above the lands of terratech is something I'd love to see.

I'm so glad you made a climber! I love climbing vehicles in games; I know they're inferior to flying vehicles, but they're so much fun

In reality, it is actually performing side hops at such a perfect speed and frequency, you never catch him moving out of the same single spot.
Its accuracy isn't perfect however, and thus the appearance of vibration.
Please make this into a longer series.

I recently found out that the strongest block in the game is the better future weight enhancer block, turns out if you put about 50 of them on a tech, turn them off, go above an enemy then turn them back on again you'll crush the enemy tech. Although it also crushes ally techs as well. I've used this to create a tech that does over 2 million damage per second, the hard part is stopping it from sliding off your target, it gets through half of the cube in R&D before it just slides off of it, and explodes.
Ive always loved the way you play terratech and yiu even caused me to purchase it, sometimes its a oittle saddening when you dont play it cant wait for it to come around again
I think that this craft might be my favorite one so far as well, and I've watched all the episodes of this series.
Before, my favorite was the motorcycles, so you can see why I like this one so much.

I don't know if you said something about it in an older video I haven't seen yet, but I don't know if you know about the cabs special abilities, such as venture comes with a speedometer or that GEO cab has a working drill
Also you can use the GSO signal marker to place an anchored block you can name, give it one of six symbols and one of six colors that it displays above it and on the map... The only issue I can for see is that it can be attacked and destroyed. I would just make a special turret with one attached and that can act independent, so not only do you mark an area but keep it free of hostiles, add an SCU and you have a parts farm, especially if you give it a Hawkeye laser targeting. Every time I put one on my tech my shots seem to hit the cab more often than not

the tech i often build to optimize the fun (and challenge) out of slippery slope is a 1x4 of venture blocks with 4 globetrotter wheels, and the really slim 2x1 top mounted venture cab i dont remember the name of. it's so short it can just drive under most of the obstacles
I recently did this challenge, I couldn’t figure it out, so I just slowly cruised on by everything with build mode 😂

Hey Lathrix, jus want to say you are great, and I hope you are doing good. Also, I recommend that you try out a tech using a lot of repeater rifles, as they are quite good for their size, and I think it would be interesting!

If you still wanted a limited jump capability, you should look into downward facing sonic lances
You mentioned the top looking a bit too flat, id suggest adding maybe 2 or 3 venture dual autocannons which would also add some really decent defensive capabilities, maybe a few venture or hawkeye mortars on the front infront of the cab? Or just 1 or 2 reticule hive launchers because theyre goddamn awesome
Maybe disc lasers?
As a final suggestion, try tricking this thing out with loads of lights, informational accessories, lightweight armor and ofc some silly cosmetic blocks

I think a couple of those Hawkeye missile silos would be good on the explorer tech. You don’t have to aim them and they do good enough damage for a non-fighter tech

they need to make the radar in the corner show the map also, so we don't have to keep bringing the map up to check where we are.
Not sure why, but the new tech reminds me a bit of a centipede. I think this is a good thing.
