I did this quest 7 months ago and it was the most time and energy consuming quest I did right next to Hawkmoon x Radiant Accipiter quest in season of the hunt.
Malfeasance is by far the worst. It relies completely on RNG. You need to get lucky not only with the primeval spawn. But you need your team to actually win. Then you need to get lucky having good gambit teams for the next 2 steps. Shit is ridiculous
Got the wisender after having the momento for about a year. Found the easiest way was to wait until the shattered throne is the featured dungeon for the week then use the fireteam finder to complete the quest.
Tried soloing this and wanted to die. Couldn’t beat the ogre so I gave up. My recommendation to everyone is find 1 other person to do this with. Also HELP PEOPLE who need it. The wish ender is VERY worth it and everyone deserves it
I actually do have the old quest with presenting the Talisman to the dying warrior in the Shattered Throne. Should I just quit it or does it still work?
So my game totally screwed me. I died in the Thrallway and then the relic didn't spawn. I went back to the Ogre catwalk section and I go look at that statue and the relic isn't there. Then I grab that relic and go to the statue and it is there. But the Thrallway relic still isn't. And dunking the Catway relic at the Thrallway statue doesn't work. Reloaded at the checkpoint and same think. Got cooked on that door :(
I’m dumb… I did everything up until the Ogre boss. I dunked the orb, died, and when I respawned, I killed the ogre boss normally because I didn’t realize the secret boss was different… So do I have to do the whole dungeon again?
Mistakes happen! As long you got progress from the previous quest bosses you’ll only have to repeat the ogre relic and defeat xavoth to finish the quest. Good luck!
Anyone know what to do if the orbs won’t spawn? I lost the orb in the catwalk room and it didn’t respawn at the pillar even after I wiped to go back to the checkpoint. I went forward to see if the thrall orb was there and it wasn’t there either. EDIT: I fixed it by walking back past the beginning of the catwalk and walking back in. The orbs respawned
I'm actually in a situation where I did visit Petra to pick up the Memento but did not receive it and even tried my other two characters and still the same thing happened. I did put a ticket into Bungie to see if they can add it back for me or something and they couldn't and so I'm pretty much screwed.
I did everything, just needed to do the deposit and then it hit me that although I have the quest I do not have the fucking item in this character and I need to do it all again

The ogre didn’t spawn when I deposited the orb now what?
Look for “A fleet of darkness approaches”text on the bottom left of your screen when you deposit the orb, that should indicate he spawns.
Why is it when I try to do the bunny hop mele it throws the orb instead?
You have to do a light attack instead of heavy attack or you will throw it.

No you don’t have to, but certain parts you’ll have to re do if you die. I cover this in the video and mention which parts have checkpoints etc.
Wish ender should be a crafted exotic or get a catalyst
Maybe Bungie will address the buggy quest by making it crafted🤞🏼
