    Great idea. I would love for the cargo to be varied though, like your exaples. Some 55gal drum pallets, animal crates, mail carts, palletized industry parts (such as the mineral drill strapped to a pallet or a wellhead delivery). I think it would bring a TON of players back. Airplanes are nearly worthless without this feature!

      Some of my favorite missions, before they gutted career, were the ones where you had to deliver stuff to the oil rigs. Or get the part and install it at the bottom. Not sure if they've brought those back or not.

    We need a thermal visual update where we can see heat from the human body and heat from the engine, steam, reactor, volcano, etc.

    I think it would be very cool and relatively easy for the devs to add salvage missions. First, you can go to a port and purchase information about where to find possible salvage operations, extremely similar to how the fishing data vendor works, and it will give you a zone where the shipwreck or lost cargo containers could be. There are plenty of objects that they could put down there to make it interesting, small or big submarines, old planes, really big ships that have broken into sections that take multiple trips to fully salvage. Then you take whatever salvage it is and bring it to port and either leave it in the water for the big stuff, or place it on the ground for the smaller stuff. A cool mechanic they could add with this expansion is some sort of g-force meter on the older salvage that decreases the payout if you rough up the cargo. And yes, I know that this ‘salvage’ idea has been partly explored by other addons, for example the Hebis underwater missions, but not to the extent that this game can provide.

    More generally, different sorts of cargo than just containers. Half-size containers, barrels, people, animals, crates of various sizes, small vehicles...

      Yeah that would be great. For example like a little Jeep with just four rope anchors. Then you can just hook it to the walls with ropes. I do that a lot when I just move my vehicles around with my airplanes. I think a good logistics update would be awesome.

    I love this idea and I think that they definitely need to add more cargo methods in game. They could also add logging missions, like in Snowrunner. Another thing that I wish they would add is some sort of cargo quantity slider on world creation, because I enjoy moving containers of cargo, but my trips feel wasted if I can only find 1 or two containers that go to a single port.

    that is an absolutely great idea! the size of current cargo containers limit the use cases way too much. i would so love to see this in game. with more advanced features i would even buy a DLC to have that.
    Edit: I cannot star on Geometa Bug tracker. The star disappears after reloading. Anybody else having this issue?
    Edit 2: I figured out that you actually have to go thru the "request feature" button on the start screen of the game, otherwise it looks like you can star an issue but it actually doesn't save it. @captain maybe you want to mention that in future videos :)

    I had an idea that would appeal to many veteran stormworks players, but I don’t have as big a voice as you do, so please tell me what you think: I think that every item in the game that that has a Boolean or number logic node should have a duplicate block that ONLY has a composite node and is made as small as possible. Additionally, with these new blocks, in the selection menu, they should be given a dropdown menu to select what channel you want the information to be on. For example, if I want to add a tiny 1x1x2 laser sensor, you can select what channels you want the distance, exported to, and what channel it will pull from to get the frequency, on/off signal, infrared, and pivot x/y number values. To connect them, simply connect up the composite inputs and outputs as read and write to the selected channels and you’re set. Another example is that control handles already have a composite output, in addition to tons of basic logic nodes, which could be gotten rid of for a simple 1x1x1 block. For outputs, like control fins, there will be a similar selection menu to pick which channel it will pull the number value from. With this new system, the devs will have to make it so that multiple composite outputs can be connected to one composite input.

      Another block optimization example could be the new net block, making it 1x1x1, with an input for composite, and in the selection menu with three dropdowns to select the channels for extend, retract, and release. I really could go on all day naming blocks that we would love to see shrunk.

    This would be great but by experience stuff that can easily be done in an addon and adds complexity to the game in terms of performance is rarely officially implemented. Check out GOM cargo additions addon in the meanwhile.
