I've genuinely lost track of how many times the Demon Seed has been directly and indirectly nerfed. I think we're at like 20 changes due to the Demon Seed at this point?
I mean, you could also put a limit on the number of discounts you can get. Something like "The first 3 spells you cast each turn costs 1 less" We already saw this same thing done with some other cards... IIRC we got a Druid card that discounted your first card each turn to 0.
It's honestly baffling that we still don't follow this rule when Magic never ever had free spells since you can't discount colored mana costs so most cards just discount to one???

Honestly if the requirement wasn't the exact same thing as your win condition it would probably be a lot more manageable. "Play 5 demons" or "discard 5 cards" each step would mean that your deck won't be built to exploit that bonkers win condition. Instead they just keep upping the Health requirements, meaning that you're still playing a deck that can deal tons of damage to yourself in order to get a win condition that wants you to deal tons of damage to yourself.

Should have costed LESS MANA FOR THE MANA COST OF SPELLS YOU PLAYED! Mage would have still been miserable but rogue would have been pointless to abuse it.
You forgot to mention, but Thaddius before the second nerf was also responsible for getting Pyrotechnician temporarily banned in wild because of "Fire Druid/Fire Spell Druid" where if he could play Thaddius, he would just destroy you with infinite burn from hand.
