I'm beginning to believe that their claims to want better perception is nonsense & that they use the lip service to select while they keep pushing boundaries.
They could fix this & reform super fast, they just get off on the power trip too much. Those turning a blind eye also need reprimand, yet it's getting harder to watch police as governors are effectively derailing community police oversight groups (check out what DeSantis starting July 1 this year in that alley )

They don't care about public opinion. Anything the "public" does is only going to get them paid vacations at worst and a promotion plus paid vacation as a best case for them. As long as "qualified immunity" exists, their behavior won't change because nothing will happen to them, and it's the "public" that foots the bill when they lose or settle lawsuits.

He doesn't HAVE to answer them. He doesn't owe them an explanation for simply existing. His hands, his pockets. If you're terrified of everyone with hands, you shouldn't be a cop.

The only time a police officer is authorized to use deadly force. Is when someone has a weapon or instrumentality that can cause serious injury or death. For example, a bat, a knife, or a gun. But to even draw your weapon on someone who does not have a weapon. Shows that you should not ever be a police officer anywhere ever again.

Not sure how true it is but I was told cops in Texas stopped a black guy driving a BMW and wanted to detain him on some made up charge until the black guy pulled his diplomatic papers out and put the state dept on speaker phone

@@pegasusrepublic375 the cops didn’t immediately draw their firearms they gave the guy MULTIPLE lawful orders to take his hands out of his pockets and he kept putting his hands in his pockets which in most LE cases means that the person has a weapon or can be other things.
