Five stages of grief for Fury fans:
    D - Denial - Fury won by 3 rounds
A - Anger - Christmas gift for Usyk
    B - Bargaining - It was close. A draw.
D - Depression - Fury came in too heavy. Not prepared well.

It's almost as if these boxers don't understand round scoring. Even if Usyk _just_ edged every round the scorecards would have him winning 12-0 - that doesn't have to mean complete domination

    • @Disinfo321
      @Disinfo321 11 часов назад +3

It would be a domination in terms of a masterclass of how to manage every round from a scoring point, which is what Usyk did. He edged tyson the entire fight and got caught a few times which he's going to against anybody because his style is to make you work.

Felt like Fury’s game plan and his weight were a direct contradiction.
He said going into the fight his game plan was to do what he did in the first fight and just not get clipped by a big shot. Fair play. He was comfortably ahead going into the 9th round of the first fight.
What did he do in the first fight? He boxed. Slick. Moved very well. How does coming in heavy help him do that better? If anything, I thought he should come in lighter as Usyk’s best weapon is his insane cardio.
Felt like Fury came in heavy in hopes that if Usyk landed another big shot that he’d take it better - and hoped that if he landed a big shot of his own, it’d put Usyk down.
Problem is - the uppercut he landed in the first fight hurt Usyk because it was behind constant combinations. It was because Usyk didn’t see the shot coming that it stunned him. When you gain weight and just sit on your punches, a guy like Usyk sees those shots coming and they’re not as effective. The upper cut came just as a result of boxing flow in the first fight.
Felt like Tyson was afraid he’d get caught again and came in big because he feared being knocked out. Think he has a strategy based around “not losing” rather than “winning.”
Watch the first 6 rounds. Then turn off the fight. Then watch 9-12.
Fury wasn’t the same. He faded and I think the weight had a lot to do with that. How could it not when your fighting someone with Usyks pace

Honestly, I rewatched the fight last night, and for much of the time Fury looked as though he was afraid. There was a fear in his eyes. Be it ageing out, too much weight, or whatever. Perhaps he knew, once the fight started, that his planned strategy was all wrong............

when you're already miles bigger and taller than an opponent, being big does not benefit your performance. If Fury was 260 instead of 280, he's still way bigger than Usyk but gets the benefit of quicker feet, hands and a better gas tank. He should have been 250-260 and adapted his tactics a little, not come in 20 lbs heavier than fight 1.
The main combo i'd have looked for is left uppercut, left hook and then close in/tie him up. Keep the right hand across the face.

Usyk clearly won, he was hitting Fury with harder shots even though he was smaller and then to top it, he was hitting with more shots. The smaller guy was pushing back the bigger guy…

Have people forgotten that after Klitschko fight Tyson ballooned to 300+ lbs? His prime was gone after that. He’s done extremely well considering that and he should be recognized as one of the great brits.

Therein lies the answer, if anyone 2 blame 4 fury's defeat, it's fury himself, he talked more than he fought, if ure winning fights with talking, fury the best bullshitter of his generation, if dubious doesn't beat parker, jumping in the ring won't age well
