Hello viewer. Please Read before commenting. This video has gotten far more views than I ever thought it would (1 Million hype!) and I've gotten some of the same questions & comments a few times. Also I don't recommend subscribing if you are looking for more MGVTPP content like this. I don't attack other people's bases and rarely catch people attacking mine. EDIT: Its awesome to see so many people wanting to pick this game back up because of this video. If its your first time playing don't let the hospital mission prevent you from experiencing a great game. I know it drags on for a while but its worth it. 1. It would be nice to have an option to opt of the FOB attack/defense system. It wouldn't effect the people who have an uncontrollable compulsive need to attack others as all those people could wage endless war on each other :D. I know its not going to happen though. 2. Request and I've got this alot: How he/she she/he take that many hits. 1. good armor. 2. a device that you teleport back to when you are about to die or when you get put to sleep/stunned or whenever you want if you manually activate it. 3. I would still recommend playing the game, even today. But if you don't want your FOB to be attacked start the game in offline mode and don't accept any terms you can get away with not accepting so your FOB never comes online for attack. I'm not sure if you can skip the FOB mission in the campaign or not but if you can and still progress I recommend that too. 4. NEW! Yes of course people play old games (So do I. Just look at my channel to see that) but the fact that there are so many people still dedicated to playing the FOB game mode surprised me. Crazy how I got so many comments about that even though its in the title of the video. 5. "If you don't want to be attacked you could just delete the game, associated Xbox Live Account, sell your console, and never play it again." - some commenter. Or you could not attack people and just do the FOB events in different ways. 6. NEW! No I'm not being toxic for making this video. This guy attacked my FOB around 10 times before this video happened and lost 8 times without me doing anything. Then he still attacked my FOB afterwards so after he lost (once again) I attacked one of his FOBs, killed the poor defender who came, and apologized to him and told him I hoped he didn't lose any staff. 7. NEW!! Why did you use the grenade launcher? This wasn't some friendly invasion (as you can see from previous points) so the aim was to stop the intruder by any means necessary. Along with that a couple of people think that using the grenade launcher wouldn't be fun. That's fine but this wasn't about having fun. As stated before this person kept attacking my base sooo...you know I was just trying to stop them...as quickly as possible. I was going to snipe them but it looked like they were just going to hide and I didn't want anymore of my guys to get hurt. 8. Edit: Someone who is being a jerk and doing something annoying doesn't make them a jerk or annoying person. Why you getting upset? -_- Seriously attacking the same person so many times is annoying. But if you make that kind of comment maybe you wouldn't have a problem with me constantly team killing you in a game. Its part of the game so why get upset?
Can I salvage my already online save once I get to this point? My Xbox refuses to launch anything if I disconnect it from the internet for DRM reasons, and I'm pretty sure that would also opt me out of important passive income. And can I still operate and infiltrate my own FOBs in offline mode?
For your 3rd point. After the end of the main singleplayer content, invading FOBs gives you a good amount of GMP and resources. It's there so you can get the materials needed to develop more weapons and items. The way you worded it makes it sound like the FOB thing is completely useless and people only do it to be mean to others which isn't true.
@ some people dont want to participate in that. Especially its their own resources and troops getting taken. The guy in the video also attacked donut everyday, he got singled out. So yeah this guy was doing it for fun not just gatherin. He couldve attacked multiple people but dude he was attacking donut all the time.
Every night I hear the infiltrator's footsteps I hear the alarms Personnel crying out for assistance The FOBs I've lost The Resources I've lost Won't stop getting infiltrated It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you?
@@thestagesofgrief6454 I think you can develop it but you have to develop a pretty high level version of it. But there could be another way to get it. I'm not sure though.

@@Keks0or LOL, GR Wildlands sucks balls bru. Not including numerous bugs still found in the game to this day. Although, not gonna lie, I really wish MGSV also have co-op mode campaign or open maps like GR Wildlands.
@@crozraven Imagine believing MGSV is any better than a Ubisoft Open World game. Cool story. Have you ever looked outside your bubble and watched reports of all the bugs, exploitable AI, stupid game mechanics, plain insults to the MGS franchise as a whole and other shit that doesn't make any sense?
@@Keks0or LOL, dude, you're the one who's delusional. GR Wildlands has one of the worst AI in any tactical shooter games. Even worse than its previous titles imo. What stupid game mechanics?? MGSV is much more open sandbox than Wildlands by such a big margins. Sure as hell didn't have RPG BS shenanigans & MTX ala GR Breakpoint. I mean Ubisoft literally copying so many elements in MGSV for GR Wildlands & there's no denying to that, instead of innovating & focus more on milsim aspects that the fans always wanted. Ubisoft is most notorious one "fixing" the game after released. Just so you know, I played almost all GR games since the oldest one (& of course played MGS games too). Your assumption is far more fitting description to yourself.
I picked this game back up in like, mid-2019, kept going until about Dec/Jan 2020... and then got hit with my first FOB attack. Even when I played it back on launch and the following year it never really happened to me. But ever since that first hit I've been getting attacked periodically, usually they lose because I stepped up my previously lackluster defenses.
Same for me. I didn't really do any FOB stuff until recently. I played for hours a day and never got attacked at all until I got to the rank with the three gold diamonds (highest rank). Now I get attacked at least once a day.
When i played back in 2016 I had a math formula. Something like LvlX base and LvlY defenses. I found that certain levels meant that a platform would be just built or had 0 to few defenses. I would attack full 4 strut bases and rob them blind because nothing was set up.
I got fucking jumped the first time those parasite dicks appeared. I expected smth Ghost Recon-ish and not something creepy. Especially that man on fire mission. This game always left me pleasantly surprised
This looks like a fun event where you actually get to fight alongside your soldiers. But I would get annihilated, I've played this game for maybe a few months in total. If the AI attacked your base from time to time that would be cool.
@@8eewee Yeah you can set a chance for random events to occur every time you fly out or come back, it also allows you to somewhat control the difficulty of the attacks with how many helis they'll bring etc
@@CaptDnaDonut is it possible to encounter an attacker who didn't raise the alarm? Like when you went back to the Mother Base to vibe with your soldiers but then saw the attacker? Or it's only possible to PVP is the attacker made a mistake?

Damn, I remember being really bad at FOB management that I would get raided daily and all of my good soldiers would die or get captured lol. I’m glad people still play this.
Imagine if there was an official Solid Snake FOB Event update that recreates the events of Metal Gear and all of Mother Base is chasing down the one dude.

Man. I remember the times I was sooooo excited when someone invaded my FOB, that I always stop what I was doing and defend immediately. And I was also more happy when I managed to steal a nuke from a well guarded FOB with the Defender looking all over for me. Though over time got disappointed on the lack of invades and defenders among the years. But I'm really surprised that some are still doing it even today. I used to be #2 in the world rankings on the PlayStation version.

Nice gameplay 👏👏I love how you sprinted toward the opponent while your two staff retreated at 1:23 It was like "I'm on it you rookies! Just back down!", which made Venom Snake look more badass 👌

Got this game for xbone when it came out. I've invested 100s of hours. Bought it recently for pc and just found out that you have to "equip" chassis upgrades for your helicopter 😅
I remember how someone attacked m FOB, got 4 staff members and they defeated him. they were A, mot even A+ I dont even know how he got spotted btw, playing on PC
Maybe he just made a dumb mistake. Pressed the Dive button when he meant to crouch or missed a shot or simply didn't use very good gear. Happens all the time.
I still Play mgsv in ps3, and yesterday i got attacked TWICE by two different guys, I was surprised and one of them send me a message saying "gg ur pretty good can I add u" I love this community
Devin Bauer you have to play the game till like mission 20 I think. During one of the main missions you’ll get a warning that someone’s attacking motherbase you just have to play the main missions
Damn I love this game. MGS2 is where it all started for me but I think I've put the most time into this one. I loved Venom Snake as well as Quiet and D-Dog. D-Horse is alright and I never use D-Walker (he's a damn mini metal gear) but I've had lot of fun roaming around capturing soldiers, building up my base and equipment. I've taken bases and had my base took almost a half dozen times. Met a lot of good people in MGO, once me and this one dude played online for about 6 hours, just the two of us going 1-1 in that one random multiplayer playlist. Still friends with the dude and we hope on from time to time. It's unfortunate Kojima had to leave and that Konami basically screwed this game over big time. As unfinished as it is, it's still one of the better games that's been put out over the past 5 years.
My base and soldiers were equipped to be fully passive. No fatal weapons, just knock out ones... When it worked: It worked wonders. And it was usually faster to take out invaders this way. When it didn't work: The invader was usually tanked to be a hulking death machine that mowed down absolutely everything in their path.
I played this game for the first time around 2019-2020. While I was still actively trying to beat the base game, even before trying to S-rank everything, I got attacked and that was my very first FOB experience (not counting that story attack on my base). I lost, yes. First experience can be tough. What's funny though, I was trying to find this intruder that was stealing my containers and … could you imagine, we were lying face to face scouting each other with our "goggles". I just couldn't believe that something like this was possible. Anyway, they were first to pull the trigger while I was still thinking WTF was this guy doing lying there … dumb me. I thought they are further away as I saw my container flying not so long ago far further.
omg I need to get this game again, I don't care how long it will take to play through the campaign and get my old resources again, I miss this way to much!.
I just started to play this again. I didn't finish it since I was pissed off about the fob missions and just dropped it. Years later I forgot most of how the game works and it seems the concerns a lot of the community had at the time has gone away while I wasn't paying it. Wiped my progress since I felt I was lost in the UI. I regret losing all the work I did but I'm getting back into the swing of it.

Bought it in the summer sale together with ground zeros for 8 bucks, was really surprised when I entered the online mode and there were still two full lobbys

MGS V is still the smoothest 3rd person shooter/stealth game ever made.
Wildlands would like to have a word.
@@Keks0or decline it, it's what? The fifth time they called? No, were not giving out the participation award
Same
When i played back in 2016 I had a math formula. Something like LvlX base and LvlY defenses. I found that certain levels meant that a platform would be just built or had 0 to few defenses. I would attack full 4 strut bases and rob them blind because nothing was set up.
I stopped playing as soon as the FOB shit started.
it really helps out the playerbase that the game constantly goes on sale for less than $10 (on ps4 at least)
I totally bought this game on a fluke a few weeks ago and I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. Pretty solid game.

The MGSV lesson for the world in 2020 is not about defending your base, but quarantining those suspiciously infected ones.
