- Chapter One - Imfubu 🦛
This is Ryan and Chiam’s first trip ever to Zambia. Follow the beginning of a 10 day adventure in the remote river valley of the Luangwa River. Hippos kill more people annually in Africa than any ither aninal on the continent. Close calls with lions and hippos in camp. The emotions of feeding a village of 150 people. Hunting in Africa for species such as hippos can grind about complex emotions. Many people want to put an end to hunting. But for those that live with and around these wild animals they look through a very different lens than those who are from more urban cities. If there is no value to wildlife they can be viewed as a pest that local villagers look to get rid of. Or they are simply a meal ticket but due to poaching methods many animals go to waste and they are over hunted. With proven conservation through hunting methods wildlife numbers can be healthily maintained, villages can be fed, anti-poaching teams can be funded, and given modern day circumstances all the variables can be accounted for and balanced as well as possible given the challenges we all face with human/wildlife conflict. Huge thanks to @NoslerInc @SCIFirstForHunters @Benelli_USA @SteinerOpticsUSA and especially @ChiamFilms for the assistance in this project and all the support!
Your living my dream life. I’m living vicariously through your hunting videos! They are awesome. Keep posting them.
Man what a great video. Keep it up man! South Africa is a place that you will never forget it’s the place I call home.
Thank you! I’ve been to SA several times and I love it there too. Not going to make it this year but hopefully next. One of these days we need to film there too.
@@ryanbassham That would be great man!
Bro fed the entire village 🔥
The way those sweet kids took the hippo meat. 🥹Gets me every time. A very real benefit of conservation through hunting. Can’t wait to watch chapter two.
Yeah, it was easily the best part of our time over there.
A great video of an awesome hunt in real wild Africa. Also great video production quality!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Did you watch the other two as well?
@@ryanbassham Just finished the 3rd one. Great footage and great production quality. Congratulation on the Bush Buck. He surely is the dapper gentleman of Africa.
@@edwardpape5819 awesome! Glad you enjoyed all of them! We are excited to continue to share our adventures. We recently returned from Uganda. And we will be documenting a multi year waterfowl odyssey on a different channel @roadto100

Great job guys! Very well done!
Eggs , bacon , beans , but no hippo meat ? Hippo brains are rich in protein . Best part .
Great content, keep posting consistently and your channel will grow fast.
Thank you! Definitely doing our best to get more out. We have two more chapters from this hunt that will be out over the next two weeks. Stay tuned!

Love it, makes me want to hunt Africa now!
If you ever need any assistance in putting together a hunt let me know! Check out this next episode where we hunt Cape Buffalo, one of the more iconic hunts you can do in Africa.
You'll be the 1st and only guy I talk too about Africa. Love the videos. @@ryanbassham
Excited to have that conversation when you’re ready!
That is an amazing experience!
It truly was, I recommend it for anyone who can do it.
Why this channel is under 1k subs?
Well, it’s new. And I haven’t posted consistently. 🤷♂️
Amazing hunt!!
Thank you! I wish more people could go over and have that experience. It’s a complex but great conservation through hunting model.
Also.. give me that bonus entry 😜
Lol bonus entry noted 👍
420th sub. Happy to join the ride
Heck yeah! Thanks for joining 🤘
@@ryanbassham no doubt 👍🏿
You got over 2min of black screen at the end of your video
Indeed
#Huntingisconservation and this is a prime example. Hunters do more for these animals then anyone!
Thanks!
Lets goooooooooooooooo!
They aren’t going to know what hits em in January 💯
Bad ass dude. One day.
Thanks! Let’s make it happen
@@ryanbassham hey man I’m small just squeeze me in your suitcase
It is spelled ImVubu not ImFubu
I’m fairly certain that depends on the native tongue or dialect. We obviously confirmed with our team on the ground where we were and they all told us to spell it “Imfubu.” You may also go do a quick google search like we did and you will find the primary spelling is in fact the one we chose to use. Thanks. Hope you liked the episode.
@@ryanbassham Loved the episode. Keep it up. In Zulu language it is definitely spelled IMVUBU
@@NicoGouws many thanks! Ah yes, in South Africa I’m siempre the spelling is different especially within the Zulu language. We were up in Zambia on the Luangwa River, so completely different language.
Is this trophy hunting why kill an apollo it was still alive
Did you actually watch the full film? It pretty well explains exactly why we hunted the hippo and how it fed a village…
@ryanbassham no she didnt. she commented before the 10 second mark of the video.. she commented on the title alone. shes an uninformed little city slicker who enjoys burgers and hot dogs and chicken every day from animals who are basically tortured there entire life and then bred to be eaten once it hits mature size, this hippo lived a full happy life, didnt suffer in a wwarehouse with no where to move with 100000 other hippos next to it, and not 1 bit of that animal who died the best possibly death of any hippo could, went to waste at all. not 1 bit of it... the other option for this hippo was crocodile, or death by lions eating its face off while its alive laying on the ground dying cuz its too old to move..... if you dont know anything @hellokenize7019 then speak on topics you know nothing about. this hippo got the best death any wild animal could ask for and didnt have its insides ripped out by a hyena while its still alive tryna crawl away while its spleen is ripped out by 10 hyenas..... dont speak on subject ur not educated in cuz you just make ur self look dog shit.
