I never liked ceramic but we have used Teflon since day one and none of us got sick, but times have changed and the one I like the most is Ninja...everything I use from Ninja doesn't stick, doesn't loose any particles whatsoever and it lasts forever, I can make a cake and I don't need to add butter or oil...as far as I know is pretty safe to use...and for loaf bread I like carbon steel which is the same as the Ninja, perfect condition always and no butter or oil is needed...thank you for your review Amy, awesome as always!

Paris probably doesn't even know the way to the kitchen in her mansion. What's up with the screw on junk handles? Lol

I appreciate the fact you mention the chemicals used to make nonstick cookware. Give it time. I'm sure some issue will be connected to ceramic cookware. How would you compare it to the ceramic coating used for Stain cookware?

I have had my Vita Craft Stainless Steel multiply cookware since 1981 and my Le Creuset 3.4 quart Dutch oven. I got rid of all my Temp-rations bakeware as it was cracking in the oven and had lots of hair line cracks and the oil was seeping through and discoloring the dishes. I did have them for 10 years so I really can’t say too much. I went back to good old dependable Pyrex dishes.

The problem with ceramic is that the coatings are so thin that they wear off quickly, Crack, and flake off. That exposes your food to metals that shouldn't touch food. And the HexClad is now known to contain the forever non-stick chemicals.
I finally stopped buying 2 ceramic pans a year at $40-60 each and got LC's 9" and 10.25" skillets.
Great video as always Amy and Eric!

if you have time and patience for cookware, I would say uncoated soapstone is a great natural, ACTUAL nontoxic alternative, but.. I don't think you can turn it on high and just fast fry anything.. you would need to heat it up slowly and then use it.. you can use these inside grills and they have pots made for the oven and stovetops.

Regarding the size of Paris Hilton's cookware, I think that it's geared more towards a young single woman starting out in her first place. I know that that is something my daughter would have loved when she was that age but as we get older, we tend to forgo the cute and go for the practical!

I use my 2 qt all-clad saucepan to melt butter for recipes or boil water for hot tea (our tea kettle broke), or cook down a marinade.
Any recs on a new kettle?
