After I finished the story(including the movie), I spent an entire day watching videos of explanations and I finally understood 95% of the episode. What a story... Loving it

since madoka prevented all girls from becoming witches but still retaining their wishes. That would probably severely mess up that universe. Witches are seen as natural disasters like tornados and earthquakes, so without those natural diasaters to build history and character. Things would be very different in the future. But if its like multiverses, there are probably some universes that are super messed up? They happen to be in a good one that just fights wraiths for energy.
yeap they do, though it's a much less efficient process now the negative emotions of humanity now gather together and give birth to those wraiths, which prey on the weak from the shadows; magical girls fight these creatures and when they die they drop small cubes that happen to be amalgamations of grief since there are no more Grief Seeds, the girls now have to use these cubes to purify their soul gems (like Homura is doing at the end of the episode) and them give them to Kyubey for them to transform it into energy
what happens to all the other past magical girls bodies, do they get their real bodies back before it was destroyed before the contract? as I remember, when you form the contract, your body is completely erased and your given a empty hollow husk with no organs I think. So, no reproduction for them?
the wish madoka made transformed her in a concept of this new universe. everytime a magical girl would transform into a witch madoka comes and destroys the soul gem, so they just die and their bodies vanish. i was confused by this initially, but madoka didn't want to invalidate all the wishes that were made by magical girl through history. so her solution to this wasn't to erase magical girls, the contracts or the incubators, but to sacrifice herself so that the biggest consequence of being a magical girl (turning into a witch) didn't happen anymore
@@samon101 oh that makes alot of sense now. I didnt know they all died shortly after. Madoka prevented humans from being in caves but also still wanted modern time. But now we have wraiths and japan is really dark looking with different architecture now. Im assuming with the less energy for entropy in the universe, all the aliens are scrambling more to get energy causing everything to be different. I wonder in the new movie coming next year, hopefully they'll solve the energy crisis haha. But the world homura akemi made for them is not bad tho. back to normalcy almost and no fighting wraiths.
I don't think that was ever stated. What they mean by their bodies being an empty shell is that their soul is no longer inside of it, not that they literally become hollow inside
