i learned this method from the african-egyptian side of my family we use it on our entire body and it eventually leads to no hair growth but does take time you will notice you will need to do it less often as time goes on. the women in the family would get together and help each other do the difficult spots like the back of the legs

Mind you, this is coming from a woman who HAS done laser hair removal which costs $400 for 3 seasons in NY, so believe me when I say Thank You for helping me cut that cost OUT lol. Ive done threading , face creams the whole 9...I just never waxed, until now! SUGGESTIONS
You could probably put the ingredients directly into the storage jar. Then put the jar into a pot of simmering water, stirring the wax ingredients until you get the required consistency. If you don't have non-stick pots that would be a time saver.
Use a wooden tongue depressor or ice cream stick for more precise application of the sugar wax.
Use a woven fabric for the strips like a shirt or a sheet. T-shirt material is a bit too stretchy.

    • @lanti437
      @lanti437 4 года назад

@@bimbolu_ I do not feel like it did. When the hair started growing back, it was much thinner. Unfortunately I did not continue to wax, it the heat of a rush I did the wrong thing which made it start growing thick again. It helps if the wax is a good consistency, so you won't have to wax over and over like I did. Anyway lol, I'm going to do it again and try the turmeric method to stop the growth, with it to see how that goes. Sorry you didn't ask for all that 😄

You did this in the video, but didn't say it: make sure you're holding the skin with one hand while removing the strip. It pulls out the hairs better and doesn't stretch the skin. Especially the thin skin around the eyes. Stretching the skin leads to sagging and wrinkles later on.

Thank you! I'll definitely try this! My hair has been growing out of hand. I literally have small strands poking out on my jaw. They're cute like my aunty's, but it's a bit frustrating to tweeze them out when all i have to do is get rid of them in their peach fuzz stage. It's a bit surprising that they popped up when I barely have eyebrows.
I tweezed my already sparse eyebrows some months ago because I thought the least I could do would be to straighten them up. Strangely, they got thicker and I'm just like: So now you growin!?

+Cookie Cruncher I agree. Waxing is a temporary fix, but it's not ideal for most people who actually have much unwanted hair. You would have to let the hair grow out longer in order for the wax to be able to grasp the hairs & pull them out. Who really wants to go around with facial hair for days or longer in between waxing?

Same thing here. It went from scalding hot that I could not use it, to almost rock candy in the next instant. It was never at a usable consistency. Something wrong with the recipe I think. I measured precisely as instructed. Waited till it was golden brown color like she says, and it was boiling. I stirred almost the entire time. Guess I'll try working with it some more tomorrow. I am not going to let this big batch go to waste. Trying to figure out how to thin it out.

Boiled it too long on too high a heat and/or didn't brush off the remaining crystals from the edge. The undissolved sugar crystals will cause the liquid sugar to recrystalize (faster)

Hi there Keisha! Could you do another video on how to "permanently" or greatly reduce/inhibit unwanted body hair growth? Not many people have much success with turmeric. I have been doing so much research on different things that supposedly help, but a lot of the things out there are for women who have excessive bodily hair growth (androgen-based/male pattern growth/PCOS & etc) due to hormone issues and are supplements they took internally to balance their hormones to assist in regulating normal female hair growth. But I do not have a hormone issue, so I do not need to take a supplement because that would mess up my hormones that don't need changing. Its just a vainty thing. I would like to have smooth legs, underarms & bikini area minus shaving, waxing, or plucking. I know currently theres laser hair removal (which is not totally permanent) & electrolysis (is permanent) but I guess feel there has to be another way to accomplish some of the same effect. I mean, theres just so many amazing things nature can do, why not give me smooth legs? Haha. Basically we need to find a effective topical that kills hair follicles minus damaging the skin.
So far these things have popped in my quest for hairlessness:
    *Larrea divaricata (chappral)
    *Wax myrtle
*Nut grass essential oil (cyperus rotundus root extract/called Nagarmotha in India)
    *Chamomille essential oil/extract
    *Grapefruit oil
    *Lavender & tea tree oil
    *Spearmint
    *Licorice
    *Episoft (product)
    *Cyperus rotundus or souchet
    *Tiger nut oil (saad oil)
    *Gymnema Sylvestre Leaf
    *Chelidonine
*Serenoa Serrulata Fruit Extract (and) Epilobium Angustifolium Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract (and) Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Seed Extract
*Papain enzyme (from papaya fruit, I heard it can kill hair follicles used with turmeric leaf extract because papain breaks down protein & hair is protein)
*Arnica Montana Flower Extract + Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil
I was thinking maybe even if I can't accomplish my goal completely plantbased, to maybe shave the area I want the hair gone in, then treat it with a at-home laser device & then a day or so later apply a DIY hair growth inhibitor and hope that maybe that combination at least weakens the follicles over time & eventually kills it so that it can't grow back hair. Sorry for the long comment, I am obessed with removing hair & just wanted to share my findings/thoughts and get input or see if you could try to make a video making a DIY hair growth inhibiting topical of some kind.
P.S. A lot of the above ingriedients I posted above were done by looking up hair inhibiting products and looking at what they said the actives in it were & trying to cross reference it & from this chemical companies website where they sale the active ingredients for cosmetic companies hair inhibiting products and saw a lot of natural ingredients/herbs used. Here's the link to that website & look to anything that says "anti-hair growth/inhibitor":
    cosmetics.specialchem.com/product-categories/ingredients-anti-hair-regrowth-agents
I hope my research helps someone in their hair removal journey and I hope you can do some research on this and make a video for your viewers on it💕.

Ok so I tried this tonight (1am) and let me tell y'all..🤔🤔 When I first made the mixture and applied it no hair was being removed. I figured I didn't cook it long enough. Went back to cook it longer and it the consistency was thicker. Tried it again and this damn thing was not working. BUT I tried it on my leg and near my bikini area which hurt like a mf...and viola IT WORKED. I guess because my face fuzzies are too short to grasp and thinner than my body hair. I'd definitely use this as a body hair touch up. Might have to purchase the wax strips to see if it'll work on my face. Thanks girl!

The only reason that shaving makes the hair look thicker and darker is because it cuts the hair off and leaves a blunt end. Anytime you remove the hair from the follicle it will grow back with a pointed end and will look thinner and lighter. removing hair in any shape or form doesn't make it grow more the only reason your hair would grow more is a hormonal issue.
