He conquered all the genres... Grammies in Pop, Soul and Jazz. One of these days he's probably going to compose a classical album!

The 80s are a prime example of confidence making something cool. Like everything seems like it should be cringy or lame but the people were absolutely groovin so hard that it makes the era one of the best. Love it!

I miss Al Jarreau. I was probably around 15 when this song was released in the 80's and Mornin' hit the radios hard. This video would have been way too progressive for MTV but I'm glad I've gotten to see it now tonight at age 55.

Exactly. The musicians were mostly a mix of Jay Graydon, David Foster, Tom Canning, members of Toto, Mr Mister, and Bill Champlin from the band Chicago.
I was 12 yrs old when this vid came out. It still looks like their having a lot of fun. Kids can't have fun like this any more.

I met Al in Europe years ago while flying between London and Bilbao, Spain. I got bumped into 1st class, and there he was. He was sitting behind me. Needless to say, we made conversation while sipping some killer Spanish red wine. He was beginning his European tour, he said... Great guy, awesome conversation, full of insights about touring. He's has always been one of my favorite jazz musicians... R.I.P...
