শুধু অতুলনীয় কন্ঠই নয়, অতুলনীয় তাঁর গায়ন ভঙ্গী। অত্যন্ত চড়াতে ও তাঁর কন্ঠের অনায়াস যাতায়াত। যত কম যন্ত্র ব্যবহার করে শুধু কন্ঠ কে সম্বল করে গানকে খুব শ্রুতিমধুর করে উপস্থাপনা করতে তাঁর জুড়ি ছিল না। এই পদ্ধতিতে তিনি আস্থার সঙ্গে আজীবন গেয়ে গেছেন। বাজনার ঝনঝনানি তিনি এড়িয়ে চলতেন। এতেই তিনি সফল হয়েছিলেন। শ্রোতারা মুগ্ধ হয়ে তাঁকে চিরদিনের জন্য বুকে স্থান দিয়েছেন।

My life time favorite male singer. Ideal male voice+Passion+Direction makes these creations immortal. But I feel sad when I see same song, sung by other artists of today in so ugly manner-and gets same popularity/applaud!

'হেমন্ত' মানে একটা শ্রুতিক্লান্ত গানের প্রতি অকুন্ঠ মনোযোগ। কোনো অভিযোগ না করে ঘন্টার পর ঘন্টা তা শুনে যাওয়া।...ঠিক যেন পুরোনো ব্যাথার মাঝে শান্তির অনুভূতি উপভোগ করার স্বস্তি।
