This has to be one of her top live performances in terms of vocal expression. It has serious emotional appeal which when combined with her rich unmatched tone, tremendous range, control, and raw power, translates to musical genius! I must confess that at various stages of this performance, I am emotionally touched to the point of tears. This is understandable, as when all of the above- mentioned attributes are combined in a song, then the result is magic! The one thing that always amazes me with Whitney and which in my humble opinion puts her way ahead of other singers, is that she does not need any gimmickry or props to command attention. All she has to do is simply open her mouth and use her God-given instrument ( her voice) , as in this case.
