Just started playing golf after 15 years of health issues. Putter grip looks a good practical help to putting,. Rather than another £250 on a putter. The cost of new kit has been the biggest shock returning. But love it. Thought I would never play again

Paul Runyan wrote a book called "The Short Way to Lower Scoring" in 1979 where he developed this grip and uses on all short shots, including chipping. It's a very good book to improve your short game.

Done. I have just bought the superstroke 3.0 flatso grip too! This grip does look nice. And i like the palm uoward grip its very helpful when you lack confidence when you playvthe game within the game.

There is a lot of different putter grips out there but I’ve always stuck with the traditional reverse overlap. Any other grip just feels a little weird, so there I never really stick with it. I’ve put a couple of these on for my members who seem to be confident in the concept.
Good comment towards the end. I’ve putted for so long “conventionally” it feels totally weird if I start messing around with grips and hand positions. “Relax and don’t look (follow)” works best for me. I try to copy Faldo in his heyday staring down at the imaginary coin under the ball…and listening for it to drop

Hi Alex, that does look like an interesting grip however it does make sense as I’m also one who can change during a round my putting grip (swapping which hand is top of the grip). At least it takes out the thoughts of changing. Already shared, as I do with each, especially when people I normally play with and against ask how I’ve improved? Hence the referrals to your channel. My biggest problem now is these people now have subscribed to your channel and will also improve. I just look at it as “paying it forward”. Keep up the great work. 👍😎🇦🇺

When my (a lefty) brother started playing (later in life) he was encouraged to try playing *righty so his "strong" hand would be in front. Help to pull the club through.
done ... Not certain if these would be for me. Years ago, I had the "S" word for my putting.. I used Bobby Locke's method to train away my troubles .. and added in palms opposite each other with fingers interlocking. Both index fingers pointing toward the center of the shaft. Since then, I've averaged 28 - 30 putts per round .. year in year out. Which is why from 5800 yards I'm a plus 4 ... but from 6500 yards I'm a minus 10. (sigh)

I use a champkey 2.0 size grip on a Wilson tpa putter old school alex me back to the faldo days lol

@@AlexElliottGolf my bettinardi is a double wide blade with a single bend shaft. Studio stock 28 is the model, I believe…This grip would work on that, no?

I have noticed after putting on a large grip recently having more of my hand on the green has stopped my wrists breaking during the putting stroke

Done. Good Morning Alex I think that the majority of us buy the wrong size putter but don't think of getting measured. Grip looks bit strange. I find it hard to get my grip on putter correctly as I've bend in my arm and elbows bend outside. Could you help me on this matter? any advice much appreciated. Thank you Alex. Very well presented video Alex. Thank you. It's a hard pass for me on this though. I've had my Taylormade White Ghost putter for over 8 years now and still love it a ton. Slightly oversized grip is perfect. I putt so well with it, people have actually gone out and bought one for themselves. That's a strong endorsement I believe.

Alex, I tried this palm under grip on my indoor putting practice surface (living room carpet--best option when it's -15°F in Minnesota). To me, this grip did not feel "weird", it felt totally natural, and it does encourage that pendulum motion as you describe, and freeze the wrists in place. I never putt from the same place twice, in order to sharpen my alignment skills. For some reason, when I place my hands on the grip this way, I see the line the ball will roll on immediately, and my alignment accuracy is almost 100% dead-on. I think I'm a convert. I'll be happy to let everyone say it looks "weird".
