Hello 👋. I have purchased the Dolphin E10 for my pool. I must say I’ve been using it for a little over a month now it it does a very good job. I wish I had gone with one of these from the beginning. Very easy to use and cleaning out the basket is so easy. Now I can see that yours is venting out the side as mine vents out the top.
Good choice. I purchased the Wifi enabled version and have not used this capability. I have had my Dolphin Triton PS Plus for about two years now. It is an excellent pool sweep. My only complaint is the blue cord. The cord swivel does not work. The cord gets tangled after one use. If you can deal with untangling the blue cord, it is a reliable and awesome pool cleaner!
The was a great demonstration of just how weak the suction is on the Maytronics/Dolphin pool cleaners. They will eventually get 90+% of the debris, but only after running for so long that the debris eventually becomes optimally situated under the unit's suction port. Notice how much it disturbs the debris as it passes through the leaves. This disturbance introduces the finer particles back into the water column, leaving your pool filter to complete the task. Polaris has better suction, thus shorter run cycles. Polaris will literally pull debris in from several inches away on each side.
Our very old Blue Diamond finally bit the dust and parts cost almost as much as a new unit. It died about a year after replacing all the belts too. Kinda sad, but I did buy this. It's gonna be an awesome unit, and I want to see if it will fit on the old unit's caddy.
I bought a pre-owned Triton PS from pool partz and it does such a better job at cleaning than manually vacuuming. I was having problems with pollen just clouding up when I tried to vacuum
Mahalo for the demo...I noticed that the unit did climb the pool steps. Seems that no matter pool size the unit will stop if the basket is full, clean it out and continue with cleaning the pool.
I love it, it works so much better compared to my older unit. I just drop it in my pool every Friday and run it once a week. My pool was Pebble Tec and the color was Blue Lagoon.
So it has enough power to climb all the way to the top of the wall and it has these rubber blades if you will that turn. I does a ok job at cleaning my tile, but not as good as just a brushing. I view the waterline cleaning as a bonus, but still brush the pool too.
So they use the same power pack for all their models and I think the other buttons are for those other models. I also never use the scheduling feature, so I just plug it in and press the button once.
Nice review! Much appreciate it as i just purchase one. Do you know what the tracks lifespan is on them? Are they going to last more than one swimming season?
Glad you liked it. It will for sure last more than one swimming season and if it doesn't something else has to be going on with the unit. I am only 5 ish months in and I see no wear on the tracks and the filters still look great. That is after having a very dirty pool to start with and a blossoming of alege a few weeks ago. According to Maytronics the lifespan should last 5 to 7 years, but they follow that up with many of their customers have had their robots a lot longer. When I was doing research on which one to get I saw a lot of comments from people saying they had to start getting parts repaired about 8 years after buying it. My Zodiac MX8 treads got smooth after 2 years, but my Triton seems to be a hard plastic tread over rubber...at least from what I can tell.
@@PUREreviews Thank you very much!!!… That was my only concern about it. Before I ordered this one I owned an Aquabot fury and every year, no matter how I pampered it, I had to replaced the tracks, which was painful to say the least. I finally gave up this year after the power supply died, and got the dolphin.
I want to be done with Polaris. I've had 2 and they just cost money to maintain. My problem is, I live in a town where Leslie's is the only place to get repair service but they don't work on Dolphins. If I buy this online and need service what do they do? Will I have to ship it somewhere and how long do they usually take?
I’ve researched tons of bots myself. From my research, all dolphin bots have a two year warranty except the Premier. The Premier has a three yr warranty. Plus the Premier has a Water buoyancy stabilizer that supposed to help when it comes to waterline cleaning. It also has a big bag container for all those leaves you have. Did you consider the Premier? If so, why not since it has the bag for leaves & sticks & has a better warranty?
I did look at that one among the ton of other models Maytronics has. The issue I had with the Premier is it uses 2 openings on the bottom with two filters. So yes, it might hold the same amount in regards to volume, but I liked how the Triton PS has one large opening in the bottom and a big single basket. I was not just worried about the leaves, but also small sticks from a golden rain tree I have. My old Zodiac MX8 would get jammed with the small opening...which was my concern that would happen again with the Premier style. I did like how the premier has the easier-to-hold handle on top which has to do with that buoyancy stabilizer from my understanding. The 1-year difference in warranty didn't impact my choice, but the price is about $400 to $500 more than my model. If you get the PS Plus which has the app features it is still about $150 more. In the end, I figured the app was not worth it and I would never use it.
@@PUREreviews same here. I could not see myself using that app or sitting there playing w it. Yes I’m still stuck between the two. In my case, I live in a SW desert area & my neighbors do not have big trees w leaves. My problem is with fine dirt & very little leaves from blowing wind. I guess I was looking at the “climbing walls” capabilities & how it may clean the water line more than picking bigger debris. Still undecided.
The parts are easy to order from Maytronics, but if you don't want to install them yourself you might go with one of the Maytronics devices at your local pool store. They seem to sell different models online vs pool stores. I don't know how their customer support is as I have never needed it at this point.
Thinking on buying the Dolphin Triton PS Plus Wi-Fi. Hard to find HONEST REVIEWS Has anyone had issues with it. how is it for longevity? I have a Polaris that constantly broke down. after the 500-dollar motor im getting an error 02 communication error and leslies want 1200 to fix it. I'm done with Polaris
I opted against the Wi-Fi because I just felt the features were not worth it. From my understanding the Wi-Fi part is just a different control panel that you plug in. Nothing is different on the physical pool cleaner that is in the water. My Triton PS is still working great if that is of help.
My PS Plus is in the pool from April to October, 3 years strong. I take apart the basic things after every season and clean out any excessive debris. Takes about 10 minutes.
My biggest issue with Maytronics is they have so many models and a lot of them look the same. I did notice they have several that are exclusive to store "ABC" and just change the name. The one you just posted looks the same, but I didn't dig into the specs to see if all the functions are the same. I will note look at the program features as they all seem to use the same type of hardware but block out some of the controls...like app or wifi features as an example. Minus the complaint about the absurd amount of options the Triton PS has been working AMAZING and I love it compared to my old cleaner.
@@bmwrulesforeternity5218 Yes, they have too many options and a lot of them have great ratings. I started with the basket size and if it could pick up small sticks. I get a lot of leaves and sticks, so that was the most important feature for me.
Shopping for a mattress is less shady than these things. Different model names used on the same product, online versus in store. Not feeling confident anywhere I look.
Yea, that was my complaint....why so many models and options for a pool robot. I still happy with mine so far. Polaris makes several too, but I have not tried them.

Great product- worked perfectly, no issues.

Legit just bought my pre owned from pool partz about 10 minutes ago! Hoping to get some great results as you are ha. Are you still enjoying it ?

Your Welcome. I have had a ton of leaves in my pool in the fall, but never filled the basket in which the unit stopped.
So how is going I am looking for a pool cleaner that can clean leaves as well.. is your pool diamond brite? which color it is? I like it

@@PUREreviews looks great your pool color, thanks, I am buying tomorrow the same Triton
how did it clean the waterline?

Yes there too many to select from. I like the top access of the cleaner. The Premier looks good but the bottom access looks to be difficult.
That was one of the reasons I selected this model. Cleaning has been a breeze and the basket holds a lot.
what is the part # for the fine filter panels that you ordered extra ?
It should come with both filter types, but here is the fine filters on Amazon: amzn.to/3kClJ0e and here in the thicker ones: amzn.to/2Y21m4V
Just got this model, have you figured out what the other buttons on the power supply do?

Great Review! Yeah, Nah Sticks, Wow, gonna have to save my pennies to replace this mx8.
I am still loving it that is for sure. I am debating on if I should buy the cart as the power cord always is a tangled mess.
easy use

I can't answer that as I have never had to have mine repaired. I am going on 3 years now.
I picked the "Tron PS" lol!

Seems like a crappy job and result for a machine that is over $1,000.
Bought one ,lasted 3 years, used it about 4 hours a week, worked good until it died .

Mine ran for 30 seconds, and it's completely dead.
That sounds like a manufacture issue for sure. Might be a simple as them sending you a new transformer box or might be the robot.
