I bought Rad Jackson and its awesome. I dont think Hemdale sounds like Carcass at all, not even the early grindier Carcass stuff. The split with Exhumed is one of the best in metal, both sides. And yeah they look goofy as hell, especially younger Matt with the bowl cut, but then you hear his vocals and theyre the absolute shit. Almost as gnarly as Steve from Apartment 213.
It seems many metalheads tend to get soft as they get older and start listening to lame music as they get older. As I get older I listen to lame music less.
Dead Infection always had the classic flannel shirt/long hair look except for the drummer, he never had long hair. The first two demos do have photos but you have the vinyl versions of the denos. They looked as metal as early Carcass. Cyjan the drummer died in 2020. Some of their 45s are great too, the split with Blood for example. JDawg, do you remember the photo of Blood on Impulse to Destroy? It looks like 3 regular dudes and one metal head but the music crushes.
