- I can't remember who requested this one....but anyway... this one is from The Who's 1971 masterpiece ' Who's Next '...' The Song Is Over ' was originally supposed to be the closing song from Pete's aborted ' Lifehouse ' project . Whenever I heard Roger Daltrey start singing in this one..I could always picture him belting it out while standing atop a mountain or something...lol...it's a GRAND tune with both Pete and Roger taking turns on vocals...again, I tried doing a digital Keith Moon via drum loops..because Keith just explodes when he comes in on this song . So...if we ever do find the meaning of life...it most certainly could be a pure and easy musical note !!...one of the ideas in Lifehouse that is very cool !!
