  • A video introduction to the stunning scenery and classic Swiss charm of Wengen.
Accessible only by a cog railway, which was opened in 1892, and completely car-free, Wengen is a historic resort town with many hotels dating back to the mid/late-1800s. The resort has a unique calm, unhurried atmosphere and yet there is plenty to do with a great selection of hotels, restaurants, outdoor pursuits and attractions.
In the winter months the Jungrau Region offers 213 km of pistes up to 2970m with slopes to suit skiers of all abilities. In summer the same area provides visitors with a wealth of hiking and biking trails, as well as more adventurous pursuits such as hang-gliding or climbing. Wengen is a rare example of a ski resort that offers just as much excitement and opportunity in the summer as it does in winter.
Focusing on Wengen in the summer, this video gives an idea of the beauty of this area and the wide range of activities available here during the summer season. Wengen is truly one of the best dual season resorts in the Swiss Alps. We will be back with a video to showcase Wengen in winter soon!
