I completely forgot about this book until your video popped up! I remember really enjoying it in my youth. Don't remember anything aside from dragonbait smelling like baking bread at some point. Cheers, thanks for the memories
A favorite! It’s fun, light, and I agree on the characters. The second book is a shift in gears with which characters it focuses on, plus it’s a murder mystery.
The first Forgotten Realms book I read. Read it back in 2020 and really enjoyed it. Wasn't perfect but it still a good fantasy adventure. Needless to say I instantly fell in love with Alias. She was a good character. Olive Ruskettle was pretty funny too.
It's much better than it has any right to be, really. Early licensed product co-written by a game designer? Sounds lame. But it's good fun. I'm reading the rest of the trilogy this year
This book is a classic one of the more well written TSR books compared to the sequels that followed it. First half goes fast, but the second half is really a skim/speed read.

You're welcome!

I will continue with it, I think, because of the characters, but probs not soon. Hoping to finish Sword of the Lictor by tomorrow.
@Robbie it's memorable art!

I have The Wyvern's Spur but haven't read it yet.
I read Azure Bonds years ago. I enjoyed it.
I'm going to read its two sequels this year.

I'm planning on reading the sequels this year. They're not too long so I'll cope if they're mediocre, hopefully!
