    Hey Anthony I just wanted to thank you for saving my life, I’m 20 years old and have already had 5 years of drug addiction, ADHD, BPD, Type 1 Bi-polar experiences and whole cornucopia of mental issues for a long time. Severe anxiety to which I’d talk to myself all day long thinking when the next “bomb” would drop on me…
    I was dying a very painful and slow death, the drinking and medications were slowly evaporating my life into nothing then I found this channel along with some others and started this diet and man, it feels like I’ve got the life I felt like I was never going to get… always felt different than everyone else and couldn’t understand why and holy Jesus it’s like my brains actually working again. My addictions and constant searching for my next fix faded out and I feel completely normal even after a month of this diet! To me seeing the results it isn’t even a chore to keep up with the diet because I feel so damn good! Thank you Doc, you healed me❤️

    Hi everyone!! Hi doc Chaffee!! I started my carnivore journey because of my dad cancer .so in my desperation I was searching for a solution and I find you people talk about carnivore diet. I have training as a bodybuilder for 25 years and I always used carbs for fuel a lot of protein and low fat . 5 years ago I learn how fasting it’s good for general health so I started practicing and I lost 20 pounds I was in a very good shape,but carbs was my fuel at same point I tried keto but never worked for me . Back to my dad , when I discovered the carnivore diet I told my dad that was a way to fighting cancer but he never started so I started to prove him that it’s possible !!!with time I start to see the positive feedback from my body , I start to change things round and play with calorie and fat intake in the beginning was Ard but now I know the right ratio and calories for me . I training hit and it is very demanding for the body plus I have a very busy life two jobs and family two girls before the carnivore I was very exhausted I never given up because it’s my life but is as very tired. Back to carnivore : with this diet in few months I find that my energy are truly amazing and my performance it’s very good no inflammation no need to much sleep very strong unbelievable recovery capacity basically I’m fell and look better then ever . So I guess go carnivore people 🥩🥩🥩

    I’m 63, and an old school natural bodybuilder from the late 1970s early 1980s, and I’ve been consistently weight training since (not pink dainty weights) even through pregnancy and postpartum, etc. My girls are in their late 30s. I’ve been clean keto followed by carnivore for 14+ years. I’m at a good weight for me; I’m naturally curvy. I’ve had so many autoimmune challenges since I was a little girl. I’ve always had muscles, but my skin and tone have been horrible from autoimmune and the horrible bodybuilding/low calorie/low fat diet I followed for years. It’s so discouraging. I look great in clothes! 😂 I just got really serious about lifting heavy again like the old days. I am super committed and determined to bring out the muscle development naturally and see if heavy lifts can do something about my skin. I’m only a few days in. I’m following a female bodybuilder’s training plans (but ignoring her nutrition) and my 1980s Rachel McLish book and workout (also ignoring nutrition advice). To say I had to push myself to the gym everyday is an understatement. 5 days in and pain is gone. I feel amazing. I gorge on steak butter eggs and my stomach is always flat as a board after eating. Thank you for touching on the bodybuilder deaths. It's absolutely tragic. I feel like the fact that the people who should represent peak fitness and health are actually dying faster is making a lot of lay people avoid the gym and weight lifting - people in my family told me that working out will give me a heart attack, and I'm far from a bodybuilder, more of a casual gym rat.

    • @Paul-Weston
      @Paul-Weston Год назад +5

      The reason bodybulders die is not because of steroids, or because they lift weights and put too much strain on their hearts.
      When they prep for a competition, they mess around with their potasium/sodium ratios, so all the water is inside the muscle and not under their skin. That puts a strain on the heart, not so bad if you do that once a year, but some people enter multiple competitions each year.

People keep saying I look great, saying I look jacked, asking what my secret is, asking me if I'm on steroids because I've bulked up so much so quick (no way I'd ever take steroids). I've been working out almost every day for only 2 months and I've gained 17kgs of lean muscle so far. My goal was 20kgs over a year and I've almost reached it in 2 months, it's absolutely crazy how good this diet is for body building, rock climbing, strength training. Almost no fatigue for hours, recovery is overnight, if there is any soreness it's gone early within the next day.

That's using both the scale at home and the gym to cross reference. I've also got the photos to prove it, I've been keeping a journal. maybe some of it is increased bone density, water weight etc, but looks like a lot of it is lean muscle. I've also gone from lifting about 10-15 kgs on each arm on free weight and machine exercises to 25-35kgs on each arm, is that also impossible? It seems ridiculous to me, but I'm enjoying the gains very much :) @@KonnaIRL

    Anthony, thanks for the podcasts, I can thank you for starting carnivore, but I need neuro help. I’ve been on the diet for 8 months. It has helped me loose a lot of weight and feel better in general. I’ve recently started having body-wide muscle twitches. These are mostly in my legs but my entire body including lips are now in a constant state of twitching every day. My larger muscles are also cramping and aching. This has been going on for a month now. I do go to the gym regularly and have pushed these muscles to a degree (but not lips!)
    It scared me to the point of stopping carnivore and pumping down carbs and electrolytes. So far it has not helped. I seem to have normal muscle strength everywhere but google will tell you these symptoms can mean fatal diseases. I’ve also been google-educating myself on things like BFS and even parasites from meat?? I don’t know how to proceed. I need to find some answers, and I wish I knew how common this is when doing keto or carnivore and how to sort it out. I want to keep doing carnivore but this stuff is scaring me sick! Thanks.

      I would suggest supplementing taurine, its a master regulator for all your electrolytes and can help with twitching and cramping.

      Try drinking Mountain Valley Spring Water. I was having calf cramps in the middle of the night that would wake me up. Haven't had cramps in a long while. Also, making sure you have a shower filter, especially if your city adds certain chemicals, can be very beneficial to your overall health. And my last piece of advice... stop using Google. 😁

      Same boat, prioritize higher fat. I assume you’re exercising, and you’re certainly getting enough protein if you’re eating carnivore, but you may not be getting enough fat. I put on about 8 pounds of lean mass last month doing that. Butter is an easy way to increase fat, I basically live on ground beef alone now but I just put a slice of butter on top. Tastes fantastic, makes the ground beef go down easier for someone who can’t afford glorious steak, and it’s also just easy, energy dense food.

    I did Adkins in 2003 and lost 25 pounds in 2 1/2 months. Now it takes me six months. But I remember him saying because he was still alive when I started and he died that year but I remember him saying if you can have a bite of chocolate or a piece of chocolate and put it down and not keep eating it then eat it but if you can’t stop, then don’t start. I am the, I can have a bite and walk away from that person know when it comes to potato chips? Not so much if I start a potato chip I want to keep eating them. So needless to say, I don’t eat potato chips, but I will have a bite of dark chocolate now and then.
