Thank you for your advice. I didn’t know before now that watering the orchid for too long whilst it is flowering causes the colour to fade. I have seen it happen with many of my orchids. I assumed that the reason was that the flowers were ageing. Thank you for a very informative video. 😊

The orchids that I have bought; suggest that we use three ice cubes to water them. So what does that mean we can use that or can we quit? Using ice cubes and just follow your directions. Thank you for this information. It was very helpful.

Orchids are tropical plants, so ice cubes are not a good idea! The blooms don't last when you water the orchid with ice cubes!
Tepid water is a better choice. Fill the pot half way with the water for 10 - 15 minutes. Then drain all the water out. But only when the roots are kind of white, water again. When the roots are green, the orchid is hydrated!

put yourself in the place of every plant you grow, you need to act in whatever way you need according to the cold or heat. orchids, which are tropical plants, grow attached to tree trunks, and they take advantage of the humidity in the air, if you use ice, you will shock the plant, I recommend that even the water you will use should be at room temperature and you shouldn't use ice
