    You know what, even with all the downs she had SO many ups. It seems to me that she did what she loved all her life thus far.. Work because this woman has been working her entire life. So much so.. it's hard for a outsider to even attempt to say what excalty was her passion. Noone but Irene herself could help honestly answer that. I wish we could have seen her really shine in her own world because she was talented beyond her time and beautiful, unlike any other beauty. She should have been her own boss several times over because she worked for it, worked her ASS off. What I would give to have had this, I would not be able to complain because the journey of it all comes across as a never-ending adventure. ❤️😍 I love her story.

      Isn't it something that even tho she was blacklisted she never stopped keeping her name out there with her talent. Seems like nothing was too little to take as a job. Also imagine if she hadn't been blacklisted how much more known to today's culture she could have been. I would have loved to see her in more acting. She was always stunningly beautiful to me.

    • @coz7891
      @coz7891 Год назад +1

      @@palmirasanchez It wasnt the blacklisting that did her in. With her contacts & her track record she could have pressed forward. What did her in was her drug addiction. No one wants to touch this subject now that she's gone, but it was well known that she had become a drug addict. That's what did her in.

    • @palmirasanchez
      @palmirasanchez Год назад

      @@coz7891 her drug addiction was for a short period of time. It was no secret. There are plenty of drugged up filed artists that had not much to do with a downing of a career. Her blacklisting was the main and primarily only reason she didn't further.

    • @coz7891
      @coz7891 Год назад +1

      @@palmirasanchez Nope, it wasnt for as brief as she tried to pass it off here. I remember it at that time. That record company (I think "Network Records") was not a major player in the music industry. She used to come to the Bronx to get her drugs. It was known on the street that she was using. Back then, everyone commented that Irene Cara was washed up due to drugs. Go back to that excerpt in this documentary. This documentary shows the news clip that says something to the effect that Irene Cara blamed the drugs for her career demise.

      She had married once in her life; however, it did not work out. She had no children.
