Another hack is to compete in the Disney Marathon. Expedition Everest is opened early for the runners (usually from 7:30), you run past the entry for Tower of Terror and a quick detour for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster and the staff let you bypass the line and go on immediately, the same for Test Track. You also get to see some of the back of house areas that are usually off limits.
I’ll never forget my first Grand Fiesta Tour ft. The Three Caballeros experience! While our family was snacking at La Cantina de San Angel, my husband and I decided to wander into the pyramid. As we were walking through, looking at all of the artifacts and such, imagine our surprise when we realized there is like a whole entire underground Mexican village down there!! AND a ride. Say what?!? We hopped on the ride and laughed the whole time. So much fun! When we got off, Donald Duck was walking around the restaurant in his fiesta wear! Of course we talked to Donald, complimented him on his beautiful clothes, and got a picture with him! The Grand Fiesta tour is truly one of my favorites because the way we discovered it was just so magical. We still haven’t gotten to eat at the restaurant in there, but we definitely have it on our list! 🎉💗 this was in 2017!
Hey AJ! Thanks for the hacks for these rides. I’m on the Autism spectrum and the DAS really helped me out with the long lines due to my anxiety disorder. I tried it last year and I loved it! The pass really helped me with getting shorter lines and get more rides in. I’ll be back this year on my birthday month so I’m very excited to use it again. Thanks again and have a magical weekend.
This gives me such relief to hear! Two of our kiddos and I are Autistic and I am trying to figure out the DAS for our trip coming up. Thanks for sharing!
My husband and I were lucky enough to be the two pilots for Smugglers Run and let me tell you, it was genuinely exhilarating. I would also warn potential riders to be very aware of crashes - I got so thrown off during one during our ride that my MagicBand flew off and I slammed my shoulder. When they say it's immersive, they're not kidding!
Aladdin is wonderful during the fireworks! and the carpets go up and down and also tilt. its my fav Disney aerial carousel... The absolute best is One Fish Two Fish at Universal
Bag hack #20,000: I wear a fanny pack and utility vest (21 pockets!), which are of course attached to my body and I don't have to worry about securing them to anything when I ride my favorite rides.
Just returned from WDW. I was ecstatic to find out that there was a soft opening for Tron! I rode it, and it was incredible. But I tried to ride it again at night to be among the glowing lights, only to discover it closed at 7:30pm!! When you go, make sure to check with a castmember as to its opening times! I would have been crushed if I didn't get to have my daytime ride earlier!
Big Thunder in Disneyland during fireworks is amazing, since it's located right next to the castle. There are light explosions all around you while you're otherwise in the dark.
Also because everyone else is crowding Main Street USA, we were able to hop off the ride, jump right back in the queue, and ride it again. We did that for about an hour
I had a virtual queue for Remy. It was moved the it hit my lunch reservation. I went to lunch showed the cast member my screenshot of my original early reservation and explained what happened, I was allowed in line 😊 for Remy after my lunch.
As someone who never experiences motion sickness, I highly recommend not riding Cosmic Rewind back to back in under 10 minutes LOL. I did it at an after hours event and I felt off for the rest of the night.
Super Huge important question!!!! When enjoying any of the Disney Parks, which service for cell phones comes in the fastest ( AT&T, sprint-T Mobil, ect. Ect.) ??? After all, cell phones are now a must, and the fastest bird gets the worm/ reservation.
I would disagree with the early morning breakfast to be in the parks before the general population-that was useful prior to covid when there was no daily early morning entry for resort guests. Staying on property, I could be first in line at the most popular ride every day @ 0830. If I only have 1/2 hr head start at a TABLE SERVICE restaurant, I would have to inhale the food in 30 mins to beat the other resort guests to those rides. It's darn near impossible.
Can you make an early morning breakfast reservation, enter the park and then don't go to the restaurant but instead queue up for a ride? You'll pay the no-show fee, but it might be worth it. Also sad that there is no more Early Morning Magic event, where in Magic Kingdom you could ride Peter Pan, Small World, Winnie the Pooh and 7 Dwarfs Mine Train from 8-9 am and had breakfast included until 9:30 am. You had to pay for this, like $80 or so, but it was so worth it. (This was separate from early entry for hotel guests.)
I’ve been to Disney World four times in the last three months in every time we stayed a pop century in we were able to go in for the extra magic hours at night time after the pie closed it was amazing.
Absolutely love your shirts! I'm going to make our first purchase for our upcoming vacation, but wondered if you guys plan to come out with tanks for the summer heat? Just thinking about putting an order in now for some T-shirts and hopefully following up for some tanks if I have time!
Booking an early Breakfast only helps if you can book an hour before the park opens. As nothing seems open at 7:30, this really won't work for those staying on property. Only for those staying off property. For those staying on property, it would probably be better to have a 7:00 breakfast at the hotel then go to the park for the 8:30 rope drop.
I’ll be going for the first time by myself in the beginning of May. For some reason I’m getting really nervous! I’ve done Disney with my husband and friends before, I listen to all your videos and can say I am always prepared to go to Disney. At least as far as keeping up to date with news goes. This is a dream come true! I’ve wanted to do a solo trip for a while now. Any advice?
I am see this in July. I am thinking about doing a solo trip. My only concern is doing some of the dining, alone. How did it go. Any suggestions anyone. I not into a lot of fast food so it will be interesting.
@@rM-xk9ob to be honest it went great! In Ohana if you want to dine alone I found going to the host stand and asking for a table for one was quite easy. The hostess told me that when you try to book a reservation on line since most tables there fit 4 or more people it is hard to get a reservation for one. I joined the walk up wait list and was sitting within the hour. It was a very enjoyable evening. I was also able to get a reservation for Le Cellier in Epcot. I had to first book it as a party of 2 and then modify it to a party of 1. It was quite easy and very enjoyable. I highly recommend doing a solo trip. To be honest it was even better than going with people 😂 I love my family very much, but being able to do all that I love to do without worrying about anyone else was heaven!
Mom forced me on Mr. Toads Wild Ride when I was younger, and just like UGH never again, and i might cry when i go to Winny the Poo ride for that, also thanks for the warning about Test Track, i cant do that IRL.
PERFECT! Just came here to say EXACTLY the same thing. Whether you're flying a prop, jet or ANYTHING else, when you pull BACK on the stick, you're nose up or rising. Push forward and you're nose down or diving. Has ZERO to do with video games and EVERYTHING to do with basic aviation controls.
Do you have a list of current Good Neighbor hotels? I know that not all hotels are granted the benefits, currently, even though they did in the past (Rosen Inn Lake Buena Vista foe example).
No. 8 am earliest. Cannot there by park transportation. You can travel by ride service but arrange rides ahead of time. Make sure they know if you have a scooter.

If you're going to DW with a friend, is it best for only one person to be in charge of making LL reservations? (I understand that both people have to have Disney +, and that the accounts have to be linked.)
Depends on who you’re traveling with. For example one of my friends is much more organized than I am, and another is more impulsive. In my experience, it’s best to have the most organized person handle scheduling.
Would an 8am breakfast reservation at Cinderella's Royal Castle be possible when staying at Pop Century? I'm scared we wouldn't be able to get there in time! (I'll be in an ECV for the first time and Ubers therefore scare me, haha!)
You really can't schedule 8 am. You WILL NOT get there by the park transport. Note check to see if can make arrangements with hotel using the Disney van service. I have the same problem with a ride service. Get insurance on the scooter, saved my butt when driver damaged scooter. Most companies will bring you a replacement if you have a problem. Good Luck.
I always do 1/2 minimum PRIOR to early entry! Everybody is primarily thinking the same thing for each park: Galaxy's Edge, Avatar, Test track and Seven Dwarves...😄
I've done the trek from Pop (right next door) recently and rope dropped Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. We were in the queue and out of the ride in 12 minutes. Prior to that we were in line for the bus 1 hr. 15 minutes before Early Entry opened and at MK approximately 50 minutes before Early Entry open. They will hold you in a crowd next to Cosmic Rays. Its early, but worth it. Plus the crowd excitement and joy is awesome to soak up!
This last time we went to Disney world with my wife myself and my mother-in-law we decided to get lightning Lane 4 Peter Pan's flight because it was 120 minutes long wait and I never got to ride it before so when we got up there saw the line. Okay we done the right thing come to find out the line wasn't the regular qline there was a line for the lightning Lane the regular line had literally five people and I asked the cast member if that was the regular line or was that the lightning lane and they said it was the regular Line so needless to say we spent about 75 bucks for ride that took less than 5 minutes if that
Hey! I noticed that you said "You can make another one just as soon as A: you use your previous one or B: 120 minutes have passed since you made that previous lightning lane" at around 5:50. I knew the 120-minute rule, but can you actually make one as soon as you use the other one? I've been multiple times since Genie Plus was a thing and I never knew this! Was it a mistake or is it real? Thank you so much DFB team! You make all my Disney trips 10x better :)))
Hi! AJ was correct about being able to make your next Lightning Lane reservation immediately after scanning into your current reservation. Note that if it's an attraction that has two active scan points, you have to wait until you've passed the second scanner. I used this tip on my Nov 2022 visit to Magic Kingdom and it allowed me to book 7 Lightning Lanes that day. This option definitely helped make Genie+ a more valuable tool!
Wow! I had no idea. I recently went back in December and I always waited the 120 minutes because I just didn't know that I could maybe make them earlier. Next time I go back i'm really going to use this to my advantage!
I have to say I really enjoy all of the videos that you put out. But I have to say you need to put out a video that’s more realistic with the way Jennie plus work. I made a comment on a post a couple of days ago and I was just at the parks for the 13th through 17 March. I pay top dollar $29 a day for my party at four so we could try to Eugénie plus to maximize our time in the park by the time I was able to pick my third pick most lightning lanes that were top rides were gone for the day. There are other things you can pick, but it’s not things that you want to do. So in essence, you are wasting your money because you’re still going to have to stand in line. Where do you purchase genie plus or not. When they aren’t available, you cannot select them anymore for that day. Also when I did purchase a ticket for a ride, the earliest I got when I picked up right at 8 AM and Animal Kingdom was 5:40 PM that evening. So I think it would help Disney guests do you understand that you may purchase Genie plus for a low price of $15 up to $29 a day but you’ll be lucky if you get two of your rides picked for that day when your parks are extremely full. We was very disappointed and I had studied how to use a step for two months prior to my visit.
You said you picked it up at 8am but those staying at the resorts can select genie + at 7am of their visit. You also have to be strategic with genie + you can't just book them for later in the day because then you can't book another one for 2 hours or after your ride.
You said you picked it up at 8am but those staying at the resorts can select genie + at 7am of their visit. You also have to be strategic with genie + you can't just book them for later in the day because then you can't book another one for 2 hours or after your ride.
