    The best RUclips vlog! I just cannot imagine how could the first person laid out the rope line thought all sections of the rescue to the end and how could the Thai Navy Seal heroes carry all the equipment inside or outside the cave during the operation? Seeing the actual location they could have been more death. Salute to all rescuer terms ,R.I.P Governor Narongsak and specially the Thai Navy Seal. Hooyah Hooyah Hooyah.

    I finally had the chance to watch this as my wife also wanted to watch. It was good how I was able to get a sense of perspective of the conditions that the diver's would have experienced with the cave filled with water. 1500 Bath is a very reasonable price to be escorted all that way.

      Yes, the experience made it all very real. The 1500 Baht also includes a week’s health and accident insurance in Chiang Rai Province and a certificate and book in a presentation pack. It is very reasonable and the criticism is IMO unwarranted. Cheers

    What an adventure Karl, made better by the fact that the boys made it out safely eventually. Although very sad about Saman. A real hero. It’s nice to see they made a proper memorial for him. And a shame about young Dom…Ant’s tumble brought a bit of light relief! Great work Karl

    Hey Karl, I hope all is well. That was your best so far. Being a former US Navy submarine guy, and with a little advanced tunnel touring in Vietnam, I wondered if I could handle the trip to "Pattaya Beach" in that cave. Thanks to your incredable footage and you and Anthony constantly laughing in the face of the confined spaces, I feel as if I could make it and actually work down there. The "keyhole" looks doable when it's dry. Harder to pass through dry, but easier psychologically I suppose than when it's submerged. I'll definately get to the public spaces in that cave when I go up to Chiang Mai and Chaing Rai. My school finishes next week for a while... Exceptionally well done Karl (and Anthony), Thanks for taking the time and effort to bring this journey to YT.

      Yes. Those children went in really deep, incredible really. I hope that they do eventually open it up all the way to chamber 9 eventually. I think the journey would really bring it home to people just what can incredible achievement the rescue was. Thanks

      Thanks. Tbh I had wanted to do this tour for months since I read about it at the end of last year. I was surprised none of the other Western vloggers had covered it. I’m aware of Rick Stanton and might well search for a digital version of that book. Cheers

    I was there either late December or or January this year Karl. We didn't realise that it was the first day they were opening the cave up to chamber 3. We were approached and offered the opportunity to go in but already had a long day planned and a hotel booked in a different province. We really thought about doing it but I think my partner would have struggled to make it through there so decided against it. All the media and TV crew's were there as well and was televised on Thai news. Not sure if you remember seeing this?. It really does make you feel what the boy's must have felt being stuck in there and the heroic effort from all the rescue team❤

    • @karlsthailand
      @karlsthailand  2 месяца назад +1

      Anyone in less than average shape would probably struggle on the final sections so I don’t blame you for your decision not to do it. Yes, I saw the first press coverage and decided I would do it the first chance I got. Tbh I couldn’t believe no other vlogger had covered it yet. Cheers

    Well that is going to behard to top. It realy shows how hard the rescue must have been. I was thinking, that the decisions to push against tbe current must have been hard. The conditions would near impossible with water and air tanks..

    sooo, we have not yet the spot where the kids were found. your map could show us another perspective. where your tour ended and then the spot farther where they were located. how close did you get?

    • @karlsthailand
      @karlsthailand  2 месяца назад

      Yes, I suppose I could have made that all clearer. We were m allowed to go in as far as chamber 3 but went a little further, about 800m. The place where the children were found (chamber 9) was another 1500m further inside. Incredible really that they could make it that far but one thing I have learned is that a small frame and body weight is a hell of an advantage over that type of terrain

    • @donaldcroom1483
      @donaldcroom1483 2 месяца назад

      @@karlsthailand difficult high stress situation, when you are an expert and other people start say dumb stuff it’s hard to maintain composure at times. All 3 movies were pretty good, I enjoyed the Thai version as it told us more about the story. Your vid tied some things together when inside the cave.
