Yeah. It was terrifying because I thought it would just restart Thé Game after choosing the name gaster. But it restarted it right in the middle of "Is this name correct?" And i felt so uncomfortable.
I think the person who is talking to you in the naming screen is gaster because the way he says things like interesting reminds me of that secret room 264 in undertale how he says this experiment will be very very interesting. Plus the background song sounds just like gaster theme but more slowed down... not only that the place we are in when we create our character is like a space of nothingness like the void where nothing else’s exist, and the character we create that gets discarded is completely grey like the gaster followers... not to mention when you name your self gaster the game automatically restarts... idk man I’m not saying it’s 100% gaster...but I’m saying IT IS TO MUCH OF A COINCIDENCE AND I PROBABLY IS THE WD.GASTER

If you name your vessel Gaster, it restarts the game. If you say that YOUR name is Gaster, the game crashes.. Isn't that an interesting difference? It's almost like the game doesn't want Gaster. Does anyone have some thoughts on this? If you name you vessel after him, it's turns you down, but if you say that you, yourself, are Gaster, it completely, and quickly, destroys your chances of bringing his name, and himself, back.
I dunno about you guys, but to me it appears to be parallel universe where there was not any war between monsters and humans. This actually explains a lot and things like before and after pacifist do not matter since monsters were never trapped in the underground

What I've noticed is that Ralsei is the only main character, or ANY character really, to call Kris a human. Every other character doesn't even pay attention, or probably doesn't even know that they're human. Which is pretty weird considering that this is supposed to be a parallel universe of Undertale's timeline. So, does that mean that instead of monsters losing the war, it was the humans? Or was there no underground to begin with?

How is this a sequel to a pacifist ending? Look: - Asriel is alive, lives with Toriel and Asgore just like it was told in Undertale; - First human name was Frisk. In this one is Kris, but you can easily make "risk" out of that, so its Frisk with out "F"; - Plus there is a lot of such characters thing, like Ralsei is anagram for Asriel and obvious Delta rune is Under tale; - Almost at the end of the chapter you can walk around the city and see a lot of things that 100% point that it happend BEFORE Undertale: sans never met you before, Undyne has her both eyes (she had an eye patch in Undertale, y'know) + she doesnt even know who Alphys is. It is just kinda confusing for me with all that "Asriel revealing as a girl" and Chara appearing out of nowhere that early. My assumption is that its a some kind of alternate universe of prequel. If you no listen closly you can hear gaster noises when your creating you vessle and naming it and also if you try to use your cellphone to call in the underground then you will hear gaster noises
So my theory about naming yourself gaster and the game crashes is that basically gaster is an omniscient entity (he technically is he only appears in a secret spot and teleports away once you find him) and he was possibly being contained and when you set your name as him your vessel is fully taken over by gaster and he uses it to escape his prison but this entity that is talking to us wipes out gaster before he can cause any damage which results in the vessel dying and thus the game restarting creating a new vessel you can customize. and yeah thats it for my theory oh wait bonus theory: so you know that locked door at the start of the game next to kris’s room? so we know that asriel is mentioned at one point in the game so is it possible asriel is trapped in there? or its possibly gaster that is trapped behind that door and in my last theory i said that gaster is imprisoned so is it possible that this “door” leads to an entire prison which disables gasters power?

YES. I tried doing a pacifist run for him and it is so so hard. You gotta have a lotta skill, there are some tricks though you can know for his attacks and how to beat him. But of course this *is* my first playthrough so I'm not surprised its difficult.. I died so many times with him once I got to him, went from my first death to beyond. xD

The one odd thing I took from the interaction was the item he provided you. It states that it give you dark energy. I'm curious in what that means (if anything) maybe you can actually start a proper genocide run (since the characters run before they die)

So my theory about naming yourself gaster and the game crashes is that basically gaster is an omniscient entity (he technically is he only appears in a secret spot and teleports away once you find him) and he was possibly being contained and when you set your name as him your vessel is fully taken over by gaster and he uses it to escape his prison but this entity that is talking to us wipes out gaster before he can cause any damage which results in the vessel dying and thus the game restarting creating a new vessel you can customize. and yeah thats it for my theory oh wait bonus theory: so you know that locked door at the start of the game next to kris’s room? so we know that asriel is mentioned at one point in the game so is it possible asriel is trapped in there? or its possibly gaster that is trapped behind that door and in my last theory i said that gaster is imprisoned so is it possible that this “door” leads to an entire prison which disables gasters power?

YES. I tried doing a pacifist run for him and it is so so hard. You gotta have a lotta skill, there are some tricks though you can know for his attacks and how to beat him. But of course this *is* my first playthrough so I'm not surprised its difficult.. I died so many times with him once I got to him, went from my first death to beyond. xD
@@aaria2046 haha I just had an experience like that. I was on my last legs and I was like after this try I'm out. And ended up beating him. The one odd thing I took from the interaction was the item he provided you. It states that it give you dark energy. I'm curious in what that means (if anything) maybe you can actually start a proper genocide run (since the characters run before they die)

I found one where I was naming my charecter susie and I misspelled it suisie and it said "what about the creator?"

Gaster resets because his existence is shatter across time lines of toby's game dimension. Everytime time his name is mentioned, Gaster's existence is disturbed, causing existence to reset.
