Gentle Fluidity Silver is amazing for Spring and colder summer nights. Absolutely enjoy this scent. Bleu de Chanel is an all time classic for all year round and TF Oud Wood is great for colder Autumn or Winter days.

A la rose is really great perfume as well as gently fluidity! Oud wood is far too expensive for a such short lasting. I would stick with Dior Homme original. Latte in France exists but is called reversé ( first e with a sound)
From Tom Ford I prefer Black orchid than wood, I bought it for my bf. But my fav man perf. for now is paco rabanne XS. Actually i`m surpriced that paco is missing from all rankings
I walked into a restaurant wearing oud wood one night and I was with my wife and got an odd look from the hostess when we walked by so later in the evening I'd gone to the restroom and she came up behind me and says excuse me but what on earth are you wearing for colone and I told her and shed said the woman bartender her coworkers and herself thought who is that that smells like that and it was little ole" me😳😋and she come to our table at one point to make sure we were good and told my wife how she could smell me and my wife will not let me wear it unless she's by my side😏ok just sharing 🙏

TF fragrances are Oud formulations, meaning they don’t contain no Oud it’s a fragrance of many mixtures. To be pretty frank these Oud fragrances in western fragrance stores mostly are formulations of mixtures of fragrances to make a scent similar to Oud. I’ve been buying Oud fragrances direct from the Middle East, India, Burma for 20 years my favorite is Oud Cambodi or Seufi actually I like most even the Assam and Hindi. To be honest I have TF but use it as a get outta shower fragrance. I’m as you say an Oud snob and my friends would most definitely turn their noses up at most western Oud fragrances mainly because there not Oud and we also feel customers are getting ripped off. If your interested in Oud fragrances go to the fragrance house Arabian Oud website they have great Oud oils and fragrances also Ajmal fragrance house have many fragrances that would definitely beat any Tom Ford fragrance or better still direct from the Oud plantations where there farmed, the Oud oils are outta this world but I gotta say the world of Oud is expensive.

I've been to Paris. I've been to other places in Europe as well as many parts of the world. For some reason, I never felt like sipping on latte while in Paris. It was always espresso! 😂 Really don't know why. Must've been something in the air.

My personal top two fragrances for my daily routine: it's either Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême or Bleu de Chanel Parfum. They both get the same attention when I wear them with a slight preference for Eau Extrême

I may apply more sprays on those parts plus my arms length for going out in the evening if the temperature is cooler. FYI I now live in a South East Asian country where temperatures are tropical so I had to adapt my fragrance habits

Try to think about what sort of occasion you want to buy the fragrance for and do some youtube research from there. Best summertime, year round, winter, date, etc.. Also visit some stores that sell fragrances and try them out, bring tester strips home with you. Hopefully they will have a knowledgeable sales person behind the counter who can point you in the right direction.
I finally got to try a sample of Gentle Fluidity a couple months ago. As it turned out the name was quite ironic to me because it was anything but gentle to my nose. I found it rather harsh and abrasive, and even once it settled down l didn't care for it much. A bit disappointing, but on the bright side, I ended up getting a 200ml of Masculin Pluriel. :)
As regards rose, Déclaration d'un soir from Carter is quite interesting, even for someone like me who is not really fond of rose. This Cartier proposes a peppery rose, quite nice. As regards fragrances I couldn't live without, there are so many... GIT from Creeed (I wore this for my wedding), Eau de Nuit d'Armani, Original Santal from Creeed (my wife absolutely loves them), Acqua di Parma (classic Colonia and Essenza) and some more... :)
Chanel Bleu is lovely my favorite signature fragrance is Terre D’HERMES intense vetiver every guy should have this, women are loving this fragrance or maybe there loving me 😂 I’ve had more compliments with intense vetiver that any other. I’ve just received Ajmal musk silk today and Calvin Klein shock I’m not really a fan of CK1 but there shock is a nice gym fragrance which I think is a good 9/10. I’m waiting for the Chanel Allure Homme sport to arrive after your review I decided to buy. Thanks great reviews 🌹

Considering BDC works for the majority of men and is one of the most popular fragrances of all time I thought it was a pretty safe bet. Generally Rose fragrances or even Amyris are a bit more risky.

Ya may not wana put your fragrances in your bathroom because of the temperature influxes trust me anytime you expose your colones to extended bright light and steamy warmth will age em fairly quickly believe me I've been collecting for years since the 80s and I've lost quite a few Gems like that in my bathroom shelving unit until I learned about the aging process of really good colones and there shelf life just saying🙄🙏

I have wanted to try YSL Ultime. Supposed to be a quality, nice citrusy, herbal and fresh rose for men.

Eau Extreme is such a weak performer though. I like MFK Amyris Homme because it smells like a niche version of it with much more better performance.
I would say, if someone is just starting out, Bleu De Chanel is like the stepping stone.
