Definitely some good tips in here. The goals one is so real. It helps keep my motivated in my series. Also the starter tip, I’ve seen so many while building things. Since I live in a village I do see high level pokemon, I don’t think it’s correlated to your levels but either way it’s great for exp when you can properly battle them!

I mean, if you're going to fuck with the config files to make shiny hunting super easy, why not just spawn the shiny pokemon in at that point?

as far as I'm aware the shiny charm isn't in cobblemon so changing the odds to match the shiny charm odds isn't a bad idea. as for spawning the one u want, well shiny hunters don't want them just handed to them. there still needs to be a "hunt" after all.
