I bought beautiful used flowered blouses for $1 each at a thrift store today. I make flowers, beads, and holiday decorations oùt of old clothes. I cut off the buttons for other projects. Old paper is gift wrap, greeting cards, beads, origami, and more. Tina, Al's wife
This clip talks about upcycling magazines but look at newspapers too......As long as you pick out a section like sport and not front page headlines of a mass murders or something then it is great wrapping for a present. Some people buy a cheap stamp of a frog design or anything at all and then put some paint on the stamp and stamp the newspaper/ wrapping paper as well.
Furniture made of wood may need only 2 steps: secure joints by making sure all hardware is fastened, adding glue as needed; add a new finish of clear coat or paint.
Absolutely, upcycling newspapers is a fantastic idea! 📰🎁 Just like you said, choosing sections like sports or comics can add a unique touch to gift wrapping. And adding stamps or a bit of paint can make it even more personalized and fun! 🎨🐸 It’s such an easy and eco-friendly way to reduce waste and make your presents look extra special. ♻️✨
I am not sure that making a storage container out of a book should be called upcycling... That is downcycling. Using a glas jar for storage is also not upcycling, it is just reusing. Crafting is also not upcycling, especially if you put materials together that make the item impossible to recycle... You only act sustainalble if you don't buy a new item, but use or repurpuse what you already have. For example you are going to buy a new plant pot, but you don`t because you repurpose an old cooking pot.

You can use regular permanent (alcohol based) markers on any fabric because once they're dry they don't wash out or bleed
"Thanks for the tip! 🙌 I’ll definitely try it for my upcycled projects. Appreciate your support! 🌿😊"
