  • Jackie Pullinger has spent most of her life serving those caught up in poverty, gangs and drug culture in Hong Kong. In this interview, David Stroud, Senior leader of Christ Church London, caught up with Jackie and asked her to share some of the lessons she has learned from a life spent walking with God.

Thank you so much for this. I have been wondering how she is doing. I love her so much. Please somebody convince her to write another book just teaching about ministry to the poor, dying to self, the practical side of the gifts of the Spirit.

Jackie Pullinger you are an angel of God not only to those addicts who came to know Jesus Christ but to us today who can learn of you and be persuaded in ministry to a dying lost world. We salute you! May our heavenly Father continue to take care of you, and "may you always have enough"

I'm from Hong Kong, my mum swam to Hong Kong from Guangzhou in 1960. I was born in 1979. Just a few years after the walled city was bulldoze. There are so many movies 🎥 that showed what the walled city was like. It is so humbling to have experienced it. God bless you Jackie P.
I also slept in the same bed with my brother and sister. I know what it is like to be living a confined space. You are the mother Teresa of Hong Kong🙏💖✝️🙌.

This Godly lady speaks plainly, gives her heart and acts in the power of Holy Spirit....living her life in ministry.
    No glossy booklets,
    No 'projects'
    No Organisation,
    No financial wealth.
As we know this is just as Jesus sent out His disciples!! And just as Holy Spirit led them, ministered through them and provided for them, and 1000s came to faith through LIVING The Gospel.
Jackys ministry has been truly Biblical and her witness is truly challenging and inspirational.
It's a blessing to listen to her today.

I read her book, Jackie you inspire me. In your book I saw the power of the Holy Spirit setting drug addicts free. I cried most time through your book, because of your obedience and the power of the Holy Spirit working through you.

So glad I found this I was just thinking about her. Her book had so blessed me. Someone was questioning a Pastor about being interviewed by someone you might not consider a Christian. What we don’t understand there are times God is going to ask us to go to places, people that you would never think of. Your book years ago helped go to a women bible studies that didn’t believe like me concerning healing,Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues etc God had grace with me I tried to get out of it. He gave me a vision of his heart and love for them and I said,Yes. Some were not welcoming they knew I was different but God used me powerful in turn God healed me from abuse I suffered at church I grew up in and helped me to forgive. This place was a healing place for me. Not everyone is going to understand where God is going to take you. I was told to run from these women. But I knew God had said, Go. I saw so many signs and wonders.Awesome woman of God👏

It was wonderful to know that Jackie is doing so well and to be reminded of how she has brought soooo many to Jesus . I once visited her in her Walled City flat with the planes roaring overhead. I was a good friend of Janie Hugall who took me there but sadly is no longer with us - God rest her soul.

Such an AMAZING testimony. So inspiring. God has put the homeless, drug addicted and the downcast of society in my heart. Your testimony has helped me so see things I haven’t seen before. The Holy Spirit is everything in life to guide and help. 🎉. I have listened to Chasing the Dragon and now started reading the book. Can’t get enough of the testimonies. The Father will welcome you one day with a mighty throng for being obedient and listening to God through His Spirit 🔥❤✝️

Her story about Mary the young prostitute changed me so much and her example from Jesus, I've met the homeless in my city and it has been life changing. I've found myself telling these stories to my Hong Kong relatives and it's really cool being a cantonese speaker myself... My mother at a young age would cut through the walled city and would say the rats were the size of cats. My mother also grew up assembling plastic flowers which is mentioned in her book - Crack in the Wall?

I love to hear Jackie's messages and testimony! I listen while working in my house. Whether her book, "Chasing the Dragon" is widely read now is no indicator for how blessed and good it is, but the pulse of a church culture dying from lack of love.
Most of the great Christian books written out of deep devotion to God, trials and true events, like Jackie's and "For Whom the World Is Not Worthy," are not widely read, and some are quite expensive when you find them, because so many are out of print. They are worth the price to share in their love for Jesus. I tend to grow cold to the needs around me, and so do not want to, because I want them to know Jesus.

Salute to Ms Poon (the local people called Jackie P) for her contribution to HK and for her kindness to the poor. I grew up in Kowloon Walled City in 1980s. I saw a lot of homeless drug addicts sleeping in the public corridor in the stairwell of the buildings there. The living environment of the Walled City (demolished in 1990s) was quite poor. Ms Poon started Church service there and brought hope to the drug addicts in the city of darkness.
