1:31 I'm disappointed I haven't played this game after hearing that riff. Absolutely insane. Adding this game to my backlog for sure. Thanks for sharing!
That part is absolutely beautiful, but it's definitely carried by the first part of the song which completely builds up towards that moment. If you listen to the original song, it starts up as bombastic and epic, but transforms into something with a tinge of melancholy and sadness, then culminates in sad tones with that part then fully resolves at the last second. It's not often that a battle theme tells such an emotionally cohesive story.
One of the first GaMetal songs I ever heard, someting like 6-7 years ago now, and *still* one of my absolute favorite tracks! Also definitely a banger of a game
I can't believe the gametal guy made a cover of one of my favorite RPGs of all time now all of you play this game. it's a prequel so no need to bother with Lufia 1.
@@NadisMusic gbc ancient cave is true hell, you have to beat ancient cave like 4 times to floor 100, beating jelly boss makes you wish for ultimate weapons in a chamber, when you obtain all weapons and beat jelly boss, he can give you the opportunity to wish for making into floor 101, the true hell is from 101 to floor 200, floor 200 erys, the goddess is waiting for you, and is a hell of a hard battle.
lufia 1 was a so-so rpg with some decent aspirations to be a better game. Lufia II will leave you in fucking tears at the end of it, and you know that going in because you played one first.
@@williamproto6164 Every time (4-5) i started those games on SNES (not emulator), in the 90's and early 2000's, the game dissapeared (i 'm pretty sure it was a battery problem, but it could be a bug to fix in the cartidges datas). So, i played a lot to them, but i was never able to beat them. I got angry with them, but i still love my memories about the games; they were jewels in their time (although i prefer Terranigma, Zelda, Secret of Mana and some others). A pity i couldn't beat them; nowadays, i got so many games i want to play and i have no time for all them... Leisure stress, as i say. xD
I thought that this theme could never sound more epic then it was. You proved me wrong. in my opinion a true masterpiece. I hope we hear more battle music from this awesome game series from you
Such an underrated gem of a sound track. I actually heard this games music and never played the game, back when I used to make RPGM games as a small sprite I would use a lot of JRPG music for them and this games sound track was one of my go tos.
This is my first time commenting on a RUclips video and I was so happy to hear this song that I just had to leave a comment. Wonderful, wonderful job, my friend! Thank you so much for making this remix! This is by far one of my favorite SNES RPGs and it really brings me back! You have such wonderful musical talent and your remixes are amazing! Keep it up, Jonny Atma!
You're slowly going through all the requests I would have without me ever posting them... I think I'll keep doing just that! Superb work as always! Though The Sinistral boss battle theme also merits a revisit at some point (may or may not be a request).
Long live Lufia! (Even if it is a dead series now.) Outstanding work man. Lufia II is a title I played over and over and never got sick of once. It does my gaming memories proud to hear this.
0:03 IT ME Thank you so much for this. =D Its fantastic! One of my favorite boss themes of all time and rendered with the same impact I felt with the original.
Seriously the Lufia II Random Battle theme needs some love it along with the Boss theme are some of the greatest JRPG music I've ever heard better than some of Final Fantasy games.
thank you very much for this piece of music it touched me very much and moved me and triggered inner happiness could even cry it was wonderful thank you for that
Dude. I haven't had my comment shown in a video before. Quite happy to see it, and I was super happy to see you doing this remix. It's definitely a song that deserves it, and really cool to see you play. That moment at 1:40 is my favorite bit of the original song, and definitely in this one as well. It's such an awesome shift.
Funny to see you here. I recommend it. Lufia 2 is one of the greatest RPGs I have ever played. Many of the concepts people think were introduced by Final Fantasy 7 came first in this game.
If I told you, I would spoil important narrative twists, but let ys just say that strong moments that peoole hailed as innovative had been done before by tgis game. The materia system is also loosely derived from the weapon skill system of Lufia 2.
really great! and the acoustic version to end it. Honestly, you're acoustic sessions are possibly even better, Zelda II, Mario RPG, you should do a video with all those together
Lucia is a great franchise. I still have a functioning SNES and I recently restarted Lucia 2. Just holding it doesn't delete my save like it did the past 7 times.
Epic Cover still only the 2nd best boss battle theme in the game though. Jonny you know what you need to do. I know you see me! The Sinistral Battle right now!
This just feels like what the music composer had done if he had access to more space and materials.. I love it!
This is one of the BEST RPGs I ever played. And it being a prequal was so cool.
Also that endless dungeon, jesus fuck....
I have a lot of memories about this game. My Aunt called me one day for help. I couldn't do much because she was under leveled 🤭
I agree this is how music + gameplay makes it a classic.
@@BastivanDero I went for a lowest level playthrough and didn't have any issues myself
It was a prequel?
@@JuanMartinez-df1lc yep it was a prequel to Lufia and the Fortress of Doom (first game in the series).
This game has such great fucking music.
The series has great music in general, really. Check out Battle 4 from Lufia: The Legend Returns.
What the f*ck is up with that profile picture?!
+Cosmozerk A whole lot of dark black bars.
I AGREE! THE SOUNDTRACK WAS SO AHEAD OF IT"S TIME! IT"S AMAZING!
Yess!! The way you incorporate tremolo into your leads is so goood
you guys should totally do a cover together :) been waiting for it since i got on to both your channels :P
According to Jack via twitter, they'll be jamming soon
totally agree @@Trunks_

one of the best snes games ive played, in rpg. played a lot and this one is unique, charming and will leave you wanting for more.

One of the most best and puzzle challenging games.... There are no other games that compare to this unique game of its time....
Adventure of lolo (Nes) is really cool puzzle wise :P
Story wise for snes...Final fantasy 6 and Chronotrigger are good contenders.
the puzzles do give some zelda vibes, but not quite

The best covers that i saw...this guy is the best doing this...i love these songs

Isn't that the same theme as a regular boss battle though?
Nvm I thought that the sinistral battle theme you were talking about was also in the first. Sorry.
