Thank you for bringing these back. They aren't the definitive versions, but they're the ones I grew up with.

This clip is from a rarely scene Ben Turpin two-reel comedy, originally titled "The Cock-Eyed Hero" that he did after leaving Sennett, for Weiss Brothers-Artclass, 1929. Others in the clip Charlie Dorety (the drunk). Alice Belcher (lady in taxi), Josephine Borio (pretty Louise Brooks-like leading lady), and others. Thanks for posting!

Hi 63FilmBuff, this Turpin film was originally titled "The Cross-Eyed Hero" from 1929, one of Ben's last silents. I very recently tried to buy this two-reeler at eBay (aka "The Hero") and was outbid! DRAT!!! Hope it finds its way to DVD soon. Thanks for posting.

in wow theres a place (rough hewn passage) where often people run as madmen around when they dont know tactics and it reminded me of comedy capers.

Hi 63FilmBuff, sorry about the delay, I just saw your question now. I'm pretty sure the original title of your Bachelor Baby is "The Bum's Rush" from 1926 or 27. It's one of those Weiss Bros. Artclass two-reelers with Snub, Marvin Loback, Harry Martell and Billy Barty.

Hello. The title of this movie isn't "The doorman". And it's a silly thing to have boost the movie ! It was capted in 16 fps, and you'll play it at 30 ips.

Hey, Turpinutz, Any idea what The Comedy Capers' title "Baby Bachelor" is? Snub and Billy Barty are in it, So we know the original source.

Two L & H, not "a few" and you can't even spell Hardy's name right.
