so much of the adachi reveal falls apart when you consider security cameras, archived phone conversation recordings, and secretly recording a conversation via a wire or phone
This game came out before recording on phones was a thing I think. They all use flip phones. He could have brought a recorder, sure, but Yu’s goal here is to protect Adachi, not implicate him, so it’s a moot point.
Imagine a completely different post game. Where you have to fight against your former party members, they have the same build as they were with you. And your only party member is Adachi.
It's a little weird that they max the social-link and particularly giving you Magatsu-Izanagi when there's literally no mechanical use of either system afterwards.
Ngl, after binging the whole series, even without joe intentionally going the asshole route, i never realized how psychotic yu seems. This ending fits way too well. Like the yu we see in the golden ending seems like a completely different person from the story. Like at least they actually recognize the mc is an asshole in p5 with how you "conspire" with the confidants. You could totally see the "hes just using them" trope and it actually is in line with the character cause nowhere does it ever feel like hes just wanting to help ppl, he does it for himself too.
I’ve played through P5 three times and I really don’t buy the evil P5 ending. Mostly because the dialogue options don’t allow for much variation on “character building”. Edit: after playing P4 I double down on this statement. That game allows you to be such a dick to your friends that you can make it somewhat feasible that Yu would betray them for the lulz. That he carried out the investigation not because he cared about the victims, but because he was bored.
@@SolarArmadillo i dont think yaldbaoth ending in p5 is joker being "evil" its more him just giving up on humanity that doesnt seem to ever get any better after all he and thieves done, after all the abuse and lie constantly surrounded by enemies he had to take, he just says "then let me be what you called" and its also implied that the rest of PT are with you IIRC

If you've been along for the journey this far- Thank you very much! It has been a grand 3 month journey to completing Persona 4 Abridge. I am happy to announce I will be beginning research for a Persona 5 Abridge Series. It will take a much longer time to put together due to IRL obligations popping up. At the earliest- (UPDATED) Mid-October is my target for the first part to be out with episodes coming Monthly or Bi-Monthly from there on. [See Response for further detail on the status of P5 Abridged] In the mean time- I will be posting compilations and highlights of gameplay sessions I have with my brothers to bridge the gap. Hope you enjoy them! Thank you for all the support- looking forward to putting out more Abridges in the near future!
Update on P5 abridged and other projects for anyone who is wondering. Currently I'm over 2/3rds my way through the rewatch of the Persona 5 streams which is where the 5th Palace ends. I estimate as of right now I should be done re-watching the streams by the end of September. Once that is done I will begin cutting and assembling the videos. Update: P5 Rewatch is now complete. Clip assembly/editing will begin soon. Halo Videos will come out first. I anticipate P5A to be 8 parts. With the end in sight of the rewatch I'm currently anticipating the P5 Abridge (P5A) to be about the same or even shorter than P4A in length. As far as other video projects- prior to P5A release I will be releasing the three part Halo highlight series that me and my brothers recorded during our game nights. Once P5A is done I will likely be looking to do a much shorter video project on a non-Joseph Anderson streamer that will be announced at a later date. Once that is done- I'd give it a high probability that Joseph Anderson's Danganronpa streams will ALL be abridged. So currently the release schedule will look something like this. 1) Me and my Bros Halo Highlights 2) P5A 3) Secret Project.

@@evilturkey523 in my hypothetical idea of an accomplice ending, you and akechi join forces before that. you confront akechi with what you know and strike a deal, arranging for him to not kill you. i’d probably need to think more about what akechi gets out of it, but akechi’s doesnt care about killing you, he only sees it as part of his goal, albeit an unfortunate hiccup in his plans (rank 7 in royal). i imagine if presented with the option of getting his way but without killing you, he’d take it 🤷 but i am mostly working of royal’s addition to his character, so at the very least an accomplice ending could’ve been put in royal but not vanilla p5

Well, it wasn't there in Persona 4 vanilla; even Adachi's social link wasn't a thing. Maybe it was added due to the reaction of the fans. I'd like to assume that the reason why the protagonist could go with this is how he is attached to Adachi as a social link. The protag tries hard to empathize with him after all the time he spent with him, and ends up viewing him as a poor victim who just needs some help. But he didn't expect to see Adachi, who was looking so innocent the entire game, to be a psycopath who immediately takes the protag's future hostage with a crazed look on his face. I'd say that it was shown better in the anime adaptation ("Thank you, Mr. Accomplice" special episode), where Yu actually had more doubts and emotions about it, rather than it looking like he took this decision instantly.
Joe playthrough was really cool but seem he dismissing the game themes and "animeness" was kinda boring, the point of them investigating the truth and having a lot of fake endings was really cool. Yeah, but was fun
